A swift breeze blew ruffling the pelt of a small calico tom as he lay stretched in a patch of sun, thankful for his thicker coat and its ability to keep the chill from seeping through him. The young tom known as Omenpaw lifted his head and let his gaze float around the camp, he had been waiting for his mentor to appear in hope they could go and train but there was still no sign of him. "How am I supposed to learn this way." He let out a huff and moved to a sitting position, he opened his jaws to let the scents of the camp and the cats in it pass over the roof of his mouth. "Where are you Racoonbandit?" He couldn't distinguish the scent of his mentor, there were to many cats here and he was finding it hard to concentrate. Just as Omenpaw was about to give up he jumped to his paws, if his mentor wouldn't come to him then he would just have to go to his mentor; he only hopped Racoonbandit was in camp somewhere. With a final glance around the clearing Omenpaw fluffed up his pale calico pelt and began to make his way to the warriors den knowing this would be the best place to search for the warrior.
Voices could be heard from inside the warrior den. "You've been graced with the opportunity to train and apprentice and you're sleeping on the job! On your first day of training mind you!" Possumpuff scolded her brother. Racoonbandit was sitting inside the warriors den. His pelt was a messy sight and his sister didn't appear pleased with her brother's life choices.

Omenpaw had reached the warriors den suddenly aware that he an apprentice was on a mission to disturb a warrior and possibly any others who could be sleeping after finishing their duties of the morning, it wasn't the place of an apprentice to decide when training took place but he had waited so long for this and Racoonbandit hadn't mentioned anything of it since he was chosen as a mentor. The small tom took a deep breath and pushed his head into the warriors den allowing his eyes to adjust to the dim light before he spoke. "Um... Racoonbandit? I was wondering if we could go out and train or explore the territory a bit." His voice was soft but loud enough that it would be hard to ignore by a conscious cat.
"See there's your apprentice!" Possumpuff mumbled and gave her brother a little shoulder shove as she stood up to walk out of the warriors den. On her way out she paused next to the apprentice. "I apologize dear for my brother's rude behavior." She meowed and then left the den leaving behind her brother and his apprentice.
"Um sorry about that." Racoonbandit replied shaking his pelt free of any moss. "Yes we can start training now. I think we can explore the territory and I can show you the proper and best hunting spots." He replied.

Omenpaw watched as Possumpuf appeared and nodded to her. "It's okay, I guess I just got a little excited waiting." He watched the she-cat pad away and turned in time to see his mentor come out into the clearing and stand beside him. "That sounds great!" The excitement returned to his eyes but he forced himself to remain calm as he turned toward the camp entrance and waited for his mentor to lead the way. He was determined to make Racoonbandit proud to have him as an apprentice and acting like a kit wouldn't be a good start.
"The territory is very large and extensive. We might be able to get through it all today, but if not I will show you the rest tomorrow. We are going to walk at a slower pace then what Fallclan cat's are use to, because I'm assuming your paws are not using to climbing over the rocky terrain that is Fallclan's territory." Racoonbandit stated as he padded out of the warriors den.

Omenpaw nodded to his mentor and smiled. "That's alright, I have plenty of time to learn everything and if we take it slow then it will give me more of a chance to take everything in and memorize it." He was keen on learning everything he could and before they even left the camp questions started to buzz around in his mind. "Which clans border is the closest to us?" He looked up at his mentor his eyes glowing with curiosity.
"Winterclan is probably the closest border to camp. The mountain sides that we roam on our territory is almost at the same height as the Winterclan Mountains. While Summerclan the other clan that we share a border with is more down in a valley than we are." Raccoonbandit replied as his paws took him down the familar moss covered stone stairs that led up to the Fallclan camp. The forest near the camp was the thickest. The sea of trees contained pine, oak, maple, aspen, and a few ash. In the fall they colors of orange, red, yellow, and the dark green of the pine was breath taking.
Omenpaw listened carefully to his mentor and nodded in understanding, he began to wonder what the other clans smelled like as he had often heard the warriors talking about it and from what they said the other scents were not pleasant compared to their own. "It must be cold on the mountains, that high up anyway." He gave a noticeable shiver at the thought of being cold to the bone all the time, at least here the weather gave way and provided at least some warmth of course his thick dilute calico pelt helped out greatly. "What are we going to look at first?" He wanted to see so much but knew that it would take some time.
"We will walk along the Winterclan border so you know not to cross the border and I will show you all of the places in Fallclan's territory near that border as well. " Raccoonbandit led the way toward the Winterclan border. "The waterfall in our territory comes from the mountains in Winterclan. The waterfall is the source of majority of our water besides Heron Lake." He commented.

(I totally fixed my previous reply, I don't know what possessed me to put Fallenpaw instead of Omenpaw. O.O)
"Is that why the water is so cold? Because it comes from there?" He had always wondered what gave their water supply its frosty taste. The young tom followed his mentor, his mind working to form more questions as they continued toward the border. "I'm not annoying you am I? With my questions I mean." He had always been known to ask an unreasonable amount of them, but he couldn't help it, he wanted to know all he could and asking was the best way along with experiencing of course.
"Hmmm I guess that would be why the water is cold. The snow from the mountains probably melt off into a river or something up there." Raccoonbandit answered and looked up towards the Winterclan mountains to see if he could track where the waterfall came from. "Not at all Omenpaw. It's natural that you ask questions." He answered.

Omenpaw smiled, happier now knowing his questions were not overwhelming or bothersome. "Did you always want to be a hunter Raccoon bandit?" He had known for quite some time that he wanted to follow the path of a hunter, fighting was something he wished to stay away from if he could.
