Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Elyon-kun catches two regime cats above ground and kills them, As both cats were large and well fed and went undiscovered while she stashed the stolen eyes away she comes back to harvest some meat to give Innocentia as a gift. Cadet Bumble happens to spot her and the mute cat must try to quickly fetch help)
Bumble's heart pounded in her chest, the young yellow and black cat racing through the tunnels, mouth open searching desperately for some older and stronger cats for help. The sight she'd happened upon, seared into her mind both making her quicken her pace and want to drop down and pray to the blind protector to remove the horrible sight from her memory.
The scent of blood had lured the young cadet up to the surface. It had been strong and thick, drawing her to peer out from a tunnel. As she'd emerged she could then hear the sound of ripping tearing and snapping, like cats feasting on prey but louder. Frightened she'd slowly peeked out, and in that instant she had, she'd never been more grateful for being mute.
A small young cat, maybe a few moons older than Bumble herself, was methodically tearing into a corpse. The corpse was lying sprawled on their back, blood staining the ground, as blood, guts and gore were strewn about, some chunks of meat and flesh placed atop a large leaf, the young cat tearing out pieces and setting them on the leaf. Worse was the cats head turned towards the hole Bumble was peeking out of, the eyeless sockets boring into Bumble's soul.
Beside the corpse the bloody golden cat was digging through was another body, it's head at an awkward angle, Bumble caught a glimpse of one empty socket from the part of the head turned towards her.
IT had been a miracle that Bumble had been able to keep from bolting back down into the tunnel, instead forcing shaky legs to slowly move back down. And then once she was deep within the earth did she quicken her pace, before bolting all together when she was sure the other cat could not hear her.
Her mind was blank, not even tracking where she was going, not even trying to find the posts just looking for scents of cats and en masse. She needed numbers to try and deal with this monster
"Come on wake up already!" Basil was nearby prodding Ellison with his paw while Reisi sat nearby watching with a concerned frown. "Everyone else is waiting for your lazy tail to wake up you know!" They were supposed to be out on a patrol with a group of guiders that needed to collect herbs, but Ellison had decided that taking a nap seemed like a much better idea and the young tom was asleep even now despite the fact that Basil was quite literally shaking him at this point.
"Basil...We should probably just let it go. Just leave him." Basil rolled his eyes but he did turn away. "Useless furball. I have no idea why Superior Meepo puts up with his laziness. Shule would murder me if I decided to sleep instead of going on patrol..." He then paused. He could hear the sound of rapid pawsteps quickly approaching them. Basil glanced at Reisi who shrugged. In the end, Basil left Ellison sleeping peacefully behind them and took a few steps forward to see who it was that was approaching them.
Cadet Bumble came up to them, the scouts eyes wild with fear. In a panic she skidded to a halt before them flicking her tail rapidly back the way she'd come. Then she mimed an attacker slicing at the air. She didn't know how to mime a gesture for the two dead cats, but they needed to know there was an attacker. After her rapid gestures she looked at the pair to see if they understood.
Basil frowned as he watched her. What was she trying to tell them exactly? He looked at Reisi who was watching Bumble with an intent gaze.
"Has there been some sort of fight in that direction?" Reisi couldn't be all that sure, but that was all he could gather from what Cadet Bumble was trying to tell them. "Do you need us to go with you?" If there had been a fight, then she might need their help. If someone was hurt, they would have to find a way to wake Ellison up and that would be easier said than done. He would do it if he had to though.
Bumble nodded swiping a paw over her throat to imply dead cats tapping the ground twice to imply two dead bodies. Wrinkling her nose she held up a paw to her muzzle to tell them to be quiet as she turned and began to lead them back the way she'd come, figuring it'd be best to just show them then engage in this game of charades that she was failing at miserably.
"Bumble perhaps you should just show us." Reisi didn't want to hurt her feelings, but if it was important, they needed to hurry. He glanced back at Basil who nodded and the two of them began to follow Bumble. Reisi had a sinking feeling in his gut that whatever was bothering Cadet Bumble had to be pretty serious at this point.
