Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She hadn't been a runaway for that long, maybe a couple of weeks, if even that. She had come to WinterClan after hearing the rumors of strong, brave cats making their alpine their home, and having come from a colder climate, she went in search of them. She followed the tallest peak, where she met Diamondstar and was appointed as a runaway. Now, here she sat in their territory, her territory; her home. Flowers surrounded her as she sat near the pond, the meadow expanding out towards the northern horizon. She was in the warmer part of WinterClan's territory, near the old camp. The cool breeze blowing against her back felt good through her ebony fur, and she leaned her head back and closed her orange eyes as a sigh drifted from her leathery lips. She was finally in paradise.
"Its a nice isnt it," a voice said from behind her. Snakefang stalked his way out from between the trees. It was fair weather so he decided to take a stroll through the territory. As he made his way toward the she-cat, his eyes flashed back and forth. Although they were in the safer part of territory but he could never be too certain.
A small mrrow came from the ebony she-cat's lips, turning her gaze to meet that of the tom's. She hadn't gotten to know anyone in the clan yet, so she couldn't quite place his name. From the regality that was currently being emitted from his energy, though, she could tell he was of a higher rank; a knight, maybe? "It is quite beautiful," She responded, eyes looking out towards the horizon once more. "My old home is nothing compared to this." A moment of silence followed afterwards, until she spoke up again, "Excuse me, where are my manners. I'm Khaalida, and you are?" It wasn't common for Khaalida to open up like this, preferring to be the cold, mysterious she-cat everyone perceived her as; maybe it was the warm breeze drifting over the meadow, or the energy that was radiating off of the knight.
He stopped next to her before speaking. Her name sounded familiar but he couldnt place it at the moment. She must be new to WinterClan as a Runaway. At least that would explain why she was outside of Nice to meet you, Khaalida.I am Snakefang." he responded. Curiosity piqued his interest as he chose his next words. "You wouldnt happen to be a runaway, would you?"
Snakefang. Hmm. She pondered on this for a moment, her eyes gazing to the sky as a quizzical look crossed her features. She tried her best to burn that name into memory; she wasn't the best when it came to remembering one's name. "You clan cats have incredibly interesting names." She meowed, crossing one paw over the other. "Yes, I'm a runaway. I joined a little over seven suns ago." She said, referring 'suns' to 'days'.
He nodded once. Suns? That's an odd way of telling time, but I guess it cant be too different from moons in a way. He nodded and looked up into the sky. "How do you like WinterClan?" he asked. Being a runaway, she isn't treated poorly like a prisoner but doesnt experience all of what WinterClan has to offer completely. Based on the time she gave me, she hasn't been here long, so she may not know. His tail flicked in thought.
This tom was full of questions, yet that was expected when it came to Khaalida; she was new, afterall. "I like the mountains we're surrounded by," She began, a soft sigh drifting from her lips, "I love the trees, the grass, the flowers; even for a territory as cold as this one, you still have lots of beautiful vegetation to look at. My former home was barren, a wasteland - no plants or animals for miles. Sometimes I wondered how we even survived." She knew all too well, though. They fed off the distress of the peasants that lived in their kingdom, and stole their food. It was cowardly, now that she looked back on it. She was glad she no longer lived her life as Princess of the Northern Kingdom. What a sour title she held.
He nodded in understanding. But then a detail hit him. She said "we", didnt she? Who was "we" and why was it just her here if there were more. He thought about it for a moment, debating whether or not to ask her about that. He decided against it and continued to look into the sky, ambient sound filling the void of quietness.
