Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The massive dark gray cat waited in silence in the clearing, cold gaze boring into the souls of the arriving cats, measured scans of his gold-flecked eyes inspecting them and deeming each inadequate. It was a waste of a god's skills to train such lowborn cats but at least he had not disgraced himself like his siblings, selling his life to protect a lesser being. This was a temporary state and if his leader commanded it, he would shape them all into fierce warriors, or let their souls break trying.
His tail beat once against the ground as his gaze turned to the other mentor, Bumblerose, and Greysin nodded subtly for her to begin.
Redbudpaw and Hollypaw came everywhere with their shoulders pressed together, their tails entwining as they padded to where their destination might take them.
Redbudpaw was a certified troublemaker as a kit, the ringleader of all shenanigans; she was always the one leading expeditions outside of camp, causing Diamondstar to organize a patrol to find the little hellions.
Hollypaw, on the other hand, was once a boisterous young kit with a lot to say; now, she was quiet and timid, due to the bullying she endured from Goldenpaw.
Redbudpaw was Hollypaw's protector, and that was that.
The two females walked to the place where they were said to congregate, and Hollypaw immediately shrunk back. Greysin and Bumblerose both looked intimidating as all ever, and the obvious annoyance radiating from Greysin was enough to make her whimper. Redbudpaw turned towards her companion and offered a small smile, resting her tail on Hollypaw's back. "It's okay," She cooed, and then, with those words of encouragement, Hollypaw stepped forward and took her place among the small crowd of students.
Juniperpaw came alone, excited for training. But that changed when he met Greysins gaze. Clearly their mentor was not impressed by him or any of the other apprentices. He hoped that Bumblerose would be better. He’d seen her around camp and she always seemed nice. Maybe they just didn’t like apprentices?
"Must you look at them like that?" she asked in a soft voice, one that still had plenty of command in it. These were not her first apprentices, nor would they be her last. Unlike her partner, though, it seemed that she enjoyed the job. She was the kind of cat who liked to have a paw in raising the next generation as much as possible.
She then looked to the apprentices, a smile on her face. "Good afternoon, everyone. For those of you who I've yet met formally, I am Bumblerose. This is Greysin. I count three of you, which means that two are late. While we wait, I want each of you to introduce yourself to the group."

"Helloooo!" A fluffy brown tabby came bounding in to the clearing, his amber eyes wide and all three of his white paws were so dirty they almost matched the color of his pelt. "I'm here! I'm not late am I?" He asked, glancing around at the group.
Juniperpaw wanted to reassure the other apprentice, to even let them know that yes they were late. But his voice wouldn't work. It never did in crowds, or even groups more than two or three. Instead teh tom sunk back in the group, eyes downcasted as they waited for the rest.
