Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Blackmask had risen right before the break of dawn, large amber eyes blinking away the sleepiness that dare cling to his form. Weaving himself through the sleeping bodies of the others, the newly-appointed soldier nudged Opaldust lightly, before making his way through the tunnel and out of the other end. He peered at the students' den, a gnarled tree sticking up from the ground, and padded towards it with a purpose in his step. This was his first time having a student, let alone six - this was going to be amazing!"Frostpaw! Scorpionpaw! Quartzpaw! Sleetpaw! Tacitpaw! Juniperpaw! FRONT AND CENTER!" His powerful voice boomed throughout the students' den, and he couldn't help but to allow a grin to tug at his lips.
Quartzpaw woke with a start, his eyes widened with shock as he tried to familiarize himself with his surroundings. He had just been having a nightmare, one of which he wouldn't dare speak about; it was quite gruesome. With a groan, the tom lifted himself to his paws and padded over to Blackmask, meeting him at the opening of the den.
Frostpaw wouldn't have known she even had new mentors if her brother didn't leave his nest so harshly. Hers was always strategically placed by her siblings so that if they got up for something, she would know to look. She rose slowly and shook her long pelt of dust and debris, making her way slowly out of the den and sitting next to her brother.

Scorpionpaw had anticipated an early start to this morning so she had gone to bed early the previous evening. She hated being exhausted for anything, it would affect her ability to show the others just how good she was at everything. Her amber eyes opened into slits and the slim tuxedo she-cat stood and stretched each of her legs in turn before sauntering out of the den where Blackmask, Quartzpaw, and Frostpaw waited. She studied each of them for a moment and held back a snort. She viewed each of them as a competitor and decided from a single glance that her skills would easily crush theirs. She was a senior apprentice, after all, and an excellent one at that.

She'd awoken at his nudge, and made sure to groom down her unruly fur as best she could before padding out to stand equal with the tom. Though, the cream she-cat wasn't against letting him take the lead in this particular situation. She was very new, being promoted from a Runaway, and had a lot to learn from the Clan born cats. Pricking her ears, she observed the gathered apprentices. Only a few more before they could perhaps start the introduction.
Sleetpaw opened his eyes with a low grumble. He had another new mentor, two in fact, and that might have amused him if he didn't glance outside the mouth of the den and see how dark it was. Seriously, what was with all these cats training before dawn? Sleetpaw closed his eyes and settled back down into his nest. There were enough other apprentices in his group anyway, they wouldn't notice or care if he didn't tag along until later.
Quartzpaw's gaze turned towards Sleetpaw, and in an instant, he was side-by-side with the tom. He kept a calm, cool exterior, but on the inside, he was freaking out. He was seeking comfort from the only one who he even remotely considered "friend", even though Sleetpaw probably saw him as an annoyance. Quartzpaw didn't care, though; soon enough, this male would drop down his concrete walls.
Blackmask's eyes were wide and gleaming with excitement. He gave Opaldust a playful nudge with his shoulder, all the while his gaze remained on the students gathering before him. "Juniperpaw? Tacitpaw?" Blackmask called once more, waiting for the students to show.
The she-cat blinked her eyes as she came up. The silent she-cat nodded to Blackmask apologetically, but said nothing about why she was gone. It would have been particularly out of character to speak. And, she didn't really have a reason either. She just had misjudged how long it would take her to get there, it seemed.
What was Quartzpaw doing so close to him? Sleetpaw resisted for a moment before he opened his eyes with a faint annoyed rumble. "I'm not going today so don't even try," he told him shortly, then paused, his brow furrowing. Something looked a little off about the other apprentice but he couldn't quite place it, he didn't know him well enough.

Juniperpaw limped into the clearing in frustration. Why did she have to be last? The she-cat continued to pick thorns out of her ginger coat as she approached Blackmask. "Sorry, Blackmask. Sprucepaw stuck brambles inside of my nest thinking it would be funny." She growled. Her friend's pranks were sometimes funny, but mostly annoying.
