The large white tom shook out his long, plume like white pelt, scattering bits of debris here and there. After having little to no luck hunting in the snowy peaks of WinterClan's mountain, the tom could say for sure he was ready for a bit of a change of scenery. His climb didn't take too long as he was particularly built for harder work. But soon cold air lightened a bit and warm birdsong brushed his ears. He smiled slightly, gazing all around him at the sudden change in the atmosphere. Ghostmemory hadn't been down this side of the territory before, so he had no idea what secrets it held.
Her brother, Wolfpaw, had died, and not even a moon later, her brothers Roaringsun and Tigerpaw, along with her niece Dreamingkit, had left WinterClan to go join the Regime.
Where did it all go wrong?
The large, white-spotted-black she-cat sighed; when would all this turmoil end? She wandered aimlessly through WinterClan's territory, having already organized the patrols for the day that Diamondstar had tasked her with. Luckily, she didn't have to take on a patrol, so here she was, moving through the trees with a grace in her step. Despite the recent tragedy that had struck the clan, with Valleystar's disappearance and Wolfpaw's death, she still moved on like a good little soldier.
As she rounded the corner, the she-cat had scented none other than Ghostmemory, a tom who she had yet to be acquainted with. The air here was warmer than further up the alpine, and the songs of birds filled her ears and with a soft whistle, she sang along with their tune. She waited a moment for Ghostmemory to find her; surely he would've smelled her by now.

He paused as her scent did drift down to him, though he wasn't too keen to react swiftly to it. The long furred tom seemed to revel in the warmth all around them for a moment longer. A bird flitted from one branch to another, causing an avalanche of water droplets in its wake. Buds were blooming on the trees and the undergrowth in turn had signs of life as well. A flower here, the scuttle of paws there. His body tensed on instinct, wanting to give way to the chase. But he knew it would be long gone by now. Sighing, he caved and opted to suddenly noticing the molly's presence.
And then he slowly turned his calm, nonchalant gaze to the other arrival. He turned a little to get a better look at her. She looked albeit a little run down. Maybe this was what the duties of being Deputy cast on her? A small tilt to his head was enough to incline a question as he asked, "What brings you down here, Blizzardglow?" Ghostmemory's question was innocent, only surprised to see that any other cat would want to wander down to the much warmer terrain that gave way eventually to hostile territory.
A yawn caused Blizzardglow's maw to part, shaking her body as it ripped through her vocals. She had pulled an all-nighter, again. She really needed to stop doing that, but the grief that filled her heart was almost too much to bear. When Ghostmemory came into view, she noticed how ethereal he appeared, with long fur billowing down in gentle waves of ivory, heterochromiac eyes matching her own; it was as if they were each other, despite the black splotches that marked Blizzardglow's pelt.
"Oh," She began after he asked his question, her eyes looking off into the distance as she pondered for a moment. "Fate?" She then replied dryly, an attempt at humor. Though, a smile did not crack on her face; instead, her frown turned into a straight line, more like a poker face.

He surveyed her with interest for a moment more, before shrugging nonchalantly and turning back to gaze up at a tree. "Alright," he answered simply. The large white tom leapt down easily from his perch against the rough stone and surveyed the same tree, before tapping it with his paw a couple of times. Pausing and letting his body still, the tom circled around until he found a small crevice, and waited there for a moment. Not a muscle moved, until he heard a slight scrabble against the bark. Excited, his paw darted out quick as a flash, and he easily snagged whatever had been clambering around inside of it. Yanking, he pulled out a squirming lizard and his smile possibly grew even wider.
A quick blow to the spine was enough to silence the creatures struggles. Picking it up, he leapt back to his previous perch and set his catch down. "I can down here precisely for this. Lizards don't dwell in colder places, so I had to find a warmer hiding place for them," he offered suddenly.
