Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mistyveil walked out of the medicine cat den and worse her eyes turned to camp and her muzzle opened, "I need someone to accompany me while I look around for herbs. Any volunteers before I start name calling?"
It wasn't that she was grumpy so much as lazy and it wasn't that she was scary so much as people were scared to say the wrong thing in front of her. The clan had stood by and hadn't come to her aid when Leatherstar sacrificed her too willing daughter to the Gods. She didn't have to glare at anyone or show the heartbreak on her face for cats to know that they had let her down when she needed them most. Since then cats just avoided her gaze because they typically felt too guilty, even the younger cats who had no part in what happened to Mistyveil not too long ago seemed to keep their eyes trained away, afraid that the topic would come up. But fact was, someone did have to accompany her to find herbs.

"I'll go."
Frostwhisper rose from the spot where she had been resting. Being one of the older cats in Winterclan, she found herself having to rest more often now. This fact irritated her to no end, which is why a task like guarding the medicine cat seemed appealing. It would be proof that she still had it in her. Although, no one had any doubts. The molly padded forward to meet Mistyveil and gave her a nod. "Where will we be going?"
Mistyveil turned tail and began walking, "Then we better get started. I'll be honest, if you see anything colorful growing, it's probably important. Don't be afraid to point a million times at different things because in this territory you'll probably be right."

Frostwhisper let out a snort then followed the medicine cat. "Knowing my luck, I would point at deathberries or something else harmful." She responded with a flick of her long, skinny tail. She had not been on too many medicine cat missions, so she had no idea what would be poisonous or not. But would Mistyveil even care?
"So do you like your warrior name? Were you always a warrior? I wasn't always a medicine cat, I was a prisoner, also a queen, then before that I was a prison guard. I like to think I was the best prison guard here, but I couldn't have been that good since I got caught for my crimes," She shrugged.

Frostwhisper thought about her questions for a moment before nodding. "My name? I guess I like it. It seems a bit soft, but I can use that to my advantage. I've been a queen before. My kits, even though they are now grown, are my life. They are wonderful warriors now and I am proud of each of them." Every word that she spoke was true. She had adopted Bearshadow when he was just a kit and raised him with and as her own. He was just as much her kit as the rest of them. "Sorry, I got carried away. I suppose I've only ever been a warrior other than that. What about you, Mistyveil? Do you like your name?"
"Veil sounds like I'm hiding something, I don't like the accuracy of my name, gives my opponents and enemies too much warning. However every foe that has entered my life doesn't seem to read in on any sort of hidden meanings so it's never been much of an issue. Still I would have preferred a pretty name like my sister Crystalhaven. I can think of plenty good names, Mistyvalley, Mistybreeze, Mistyfire, Mistyrose. But none of those would really be me, because veil is apart of me. I am a veil of mist, few cats can see through me, some can get lost just following my train of thought, and only the unknown lies within me. It's meaningful so I suppose. Yes. I do have a good name. I hope my kits get good names so far so good. Opalinewing, Cherryblossom, Windyhurricane and Icecream were all good warrior names."
Mistyveil uprooted an herb in her jaws and tucked it underneath the flower wreath around her neck as she proceeded forward.
"I suppose unlike you I can't really say that my kits are my life. I only just raised my first litter and it's my fourth."
