Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Larkwing sat at the water's edge. The sun was high but for some reason, he couldn't sleep. No one was suppose to go out to the forest yet. It was still far too dangerous and unpredictable. His clan was mostly learning to catch and eat fish. He was honestly getting tired of the fishy taste. He didn't understand how Waterclan and Brookclan could do it. It was fowl but he quickly found out that it was better than starving. He peered into the river. He could see the silvery glinting of the fish below the surface. He hadn't tried fishing, yet. He mostly caught whatever he could find within a certain perimeter of the waterfall. Perhaps he could try? He wasn't even sure where to start. Taking a chance, he jabbed his paw into the water. Only to his surprise that the water had come back in a splash across his face, soaking his muzzle. He looked around to make sure no one had seen that.
Turbulentpaw watched as the clan's deputy tried to catch a fish, a little chuckle escaping his lips. He didn't often see the cat falter, so to see a silly mistake such at that brought a smile to his face. He emerged from the shadows, making himself known.
"I think there is a better way to do that" he moved forward until the water was lapping at his own paws. "I'm not much of a hunter, but I think you swiped to soon instead of letting the fish come to ou"
"Well I'm learning...." he smiled, ever since the earthquake and almost drowning he had been trying to conquer his fear. He hadn't been able to get into the water yet, but he supposed fishing was at least a step in the right direction.
"The clan needs food, so I have been trying to help out between patiants. I can't travel to far to go traditional hunting, but I can spend a bit of time by the river trying to catch a fish"
"That's really impressive, Turbulentpaw" the deputy complimented. "I don't know many medicine cats that not only heals cats but also hunts!" He looked at Turbulentpaw and gave him an embarrassed and goofy grin, "you think you could give me a lesson on how to fish?"
