Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is based off of My Little Pony) Edited!: I forgot to add genders so I went back and did that! If you still want the kit you claimed, you can still have them! If you want the genders changed, let me know!
No more kits available -------------------------------
Fawnheart laid in the nursery, her belly swollen, looking like a balloon about to pop. Suddenly, disrupting her mid-day dozing, she began to have contractions. With a shriek from the sudden sharp pain, she cried out the only names that came to her mind first. "Softpelt! Foxfoot!" she clawed at her bedding. She had helped many queens give birth but she never realized how painful it really was.
He had been anticipating this day for a very long while. Foxfoot knew the kits were to come any day now and had spent the last half of the moon constantly in the nursery at her side. He didn't know what could happen during labor. He didn't really know what to do or where to go, so when he heard Fawnheart calling her name out in pain as he was about to enter the nursery, he stood frozen in place.
It really was time then. This isn't a game. This isn't a dream. This is real life, and he was about to grow up real fast.
At Fawnheart’s cry Softpelt immediately gathered up her supplies and hurried over. Fortunately kitting was something Softpelt was very familiar with. She’d had her own litter seasons ago, and had helped mothers in SpringClan and in fallclan now. While it was still difficult sometimes, it felt good to be very confident in her skills to handle these kinds of situations. “Inksplash!” She called to her daughter who she’d spotted in camp. “Fetch me a stick, just in case.” The black and white she cat nodded and hurried off to fetch the item. Softpelt entered the nursery and set down her herbs, “All right Fawnheart, your kits are ready to meet you it seems, so first I need you to steady your breathing. In and out.” Softpelt placed a paw on Fawnheart’s belly checking the kits inside.
(I’ll Firekit, But can I change their suffix to fly, for Firefly?)
Fawnheart focused on her breathing as Softpelt started working, relieved to have her and her mate there with her during this. After a few moments, a fawn she-kit arrived, matching Fawnheart's fur almost directly.
(Jet, sure! We can do that! They were suppose to be based off My Little Pony characters but if you want Firefly, we can do that )
He rushed into the den in a whirlwind as Softpelt came with her herbs and Inksplash with a stick. He put himself at Fawnhearts head and nuzzled her softly, watching in awe as the kits were delivered.
(I figured, that's why I went with Firefly, that's a G1 pony. Not FIM but, still MLP at least XP)
"That's it," Softpelt said gently bending her head and starting to lick the newborn kit to warm it up, nudging it over to it's mother, Inksplash set down the stick beside her mother before stepping back to avoid crowding the nursery. "Just focus on your breathing, and push with the contractions," The white she cat meowed gently
She clenched the stick in her jaws and pushed out another kit. This one with sorrel fur, identical to his father's. Before long, she eventually had all nine kits laid in the curve of her belly. She laid there panting but looking lovingly down at her little bundles. She looked at Softpelt, "Thank you" she whispered. "I want to name them now." She touched each kit with her tail as she called out names, "Lilackit, Fleetkit, Autumnkit, Stellarkit, Soaringkit..." Then she stopped and looked at Foxfoot. "Would you like to name a few? They are your kits too."
Softpelt purred, "A particularly large litter, StarClan has truly blessed the both of you." She checked the kits to make sure they were all well before nodding. "And they are all healthy, I will leave you two to your naming. Congratulations again Fawnheart." She said gathering up her herbs and padding out of the nursery.
He watched in amazement as the newborn kits wriggled and naturally found their way to their mother, suckling happily and healthily. His heart skipped a beat as Fawnheart beckoned for him to name some of the kits, placing a feathered tail on each of their tiny heads as he called out their names, "Firekit.... Firekit, Rainbowkit, Flutterkit, and Applekit." Now, with all nine little bundles having names, he lay on the other side of Fawnheart's belly, almost casing their kits between them.
He purred deeply and nudged himself closer to his mate and kits, wrapping them with his tail and brushing their little heads with his tongue. "They're perfect. More than I could even imagine." He chuckled lightly and looked at Fawnheart in her eyes, amber matching. "They're everything. We did good."
She felt relieved that he was happy. She had been worried that he would be too freaked out to be the father the kits needed but was relieved to find him taking to the kits already. "Yes we did. I love you" she purred, nuzzling him.
