Oh baby oh said oh
Wolfpaw and Blizzardglow were a package. Wherever she went, he followed; its how things had always been for the duo. Their parents were taken from them at such a young age, and Blizzardglow was given the responsibility of helping her younger siblings grow. Now, they were apprentices, and she couldn't have been prouder. But Wolfpaw? Wolfpaw was an entirely different story. He was the spitting image of their father, Newtclaw, and harbored many of the same characteristics that their father had. He was broody and easily-angered, yet high-spirited and alive. He had a way with words and could draw crowds easily, and it was no secret that Wolfpaw was one of the many apprentices that was suitable for the crown. But, Wolfpaw had never, ever mentioned becoming sovereign, someday; no matter how many times Blizzardglow bugged him about it, he just shrugged it off. "It's not my place, sis," He would say, a lopsided grin on his face, "I'm happy exactly where I am."
Maybe this is what led them to this moment. Blizzardglow's constant nagging had caused Wolfpaw to go out on his own, and Blizzardglow felt something truly terrible tugging at her chest. So, she set out after him, her eyes wide with panic. "Wolfpaw!" She called out, her breaths becoming short and ragged; whatever was about to happen, wasn't good, and she could feel it deep within her bones.
Mysterypaw heard Blizzardglow's call, black ears pricking at the sound of her denmates name. She wondered what could be going on to make her go around calling for Wolfpaw. Curious she got to her paws and exited the apprentices den. "What's going on Blizzardglow?" She asked.

"Blizzardglow!"
Tigerpaw pelted after his sister after the feeling of impending doom settled upon his heart. He must have felt it to because he watched her dash off in a frantic hurry. He was hard on her heels when he heard her call Wolfpaw's name. Is that who she was worried about? "Wolfpaw!" The apprentice called, his usually cheery voice now worried and weak. What if something happened to his brother? He couldn't bear to lose another family member. Not now, not ever...
It started when he felt his pulse quicken. He really didn't know why, but he always had anxiety, so just chocked it off to that.
Then he started to feel the dread pumping in his veins. He couldn't explain it or understand what it was. Why did he feel so upset? What was wrong? He was sleeping soundly with his kits. There should be nothing wrong.
Then he heard his siblings cries, "Wolfpaw! Wolfpaw!"
Dreamingkit was tucked underneath Roaringsuns maw, circled up between his preztled paws. Carefully he placed a tiniest kit on top of her three other siblings before shooting up and running out of the nursery- out of camp entirely, in fact. He quickly caught pace with his sister and younger brother, running off to Gods knows where in search of Wolfpaw. Whatever was happening, he knew it wasn't good. The brother had bonded; whatever Wolfpaw felt, Roaringsun would feel it just as strong- be it emotional or physical anguish. There hadn't been feelings like this in a long while- if ever, really. The last time Roaringsun had felt like this was upon his own feelings, the last time he had seen the temptress Diesdrè.
Wolfpaw was pissed off, to say in the least. His pawsteps led him further down the slope and as he descended, the feeling of regret began to fill his heart. He shouldn't have stormed off like that, he knew that. But, he couldn't help it - Blizzardglow was like the Queen of Nagging, and he was done. No longer would she have to look after him or care for him; he was nearly a soldier now! He would prove to her that he was far capable of taking care of himself, and by doing that, he was heading towards the most dangerous part of WinterClan territory: the cliffs.

Blizzardglow stopped for a mere second as Mysterypaw asked her what's the matter. "My brother," Was all that she said before speeding out of camp after Roaringsun, knowing that Tigerpaw was hot on her feet. "We need to find him!" She called out to her Roaringsun, as she ran through the possibilities in her head of where he could be. Then it hit her. "That mouse-brained student!" She screeched, turning sharply and heading towards where Wolfpaw was. "He's at the cliffs!"
Mysterypaw felt a bolt of horror at the words. While she strove for greatness, her mother had made her promise till she was out of breath that she never went to the cliffs alone. "In life you will have many battles, but there is one foe you can only adapt against. As in the end she will triumph. And that's mother nature." Crimsonrose's words echoed in Mysterypaw's mind. Concerned Mysterypaw quickened her pace from a fast walk to a full on run as Blizzardglow took off, the fluffy black she cat working hard to keep pace behind her.

Tigerpaw's heart seemed to drop to his stomach. The Cliffs. Those words seemed to echo in his mind like the screeching of bats. "Why in the world is he over there?" Tigerpaw growled, panting now. His large paws thundered against the stone and he briefly gave a glance to Roaringsun and Dreamingkit. He hoped and prayed that she would stay put instead of racing off after them. His heart twisted in anguish at the thought of any of his family members meeting their fate at those jagged steeps.
His ears rang as the blood pounded through his head. Blizzardglows realization made his skin crawl and his throat closed, causing him to stop suddenly in his tracks and skid over the snow. "The.... the cliffs? Did you say he's going for the cliffs?"
A chill ran down the ginger toms spine to the tip of his half-bitten tail. Wolfpaw had talked about going to the cliffs before, the prove himself to the family. Roaringsun had dimissed him greatly. "The cliffs? Have you lost your mind?" He scoffed to his brother at the time. "Not even I have that much of a death wish- and I literally wish I was dead. The cliffs is the worst way to go. You've really lost your mind, huh bro?"
It was all fun and games until one of them got hurt. Wolfpaw was always one to talk the talk and walk the walk; never to back down on his words. If he said he was going to the cliffs, he was going to climb the cliffs, no matter what happened. No matter who followed him or what the outcome was.
He was no more than a baby then Well he seemed broken hearted
Something within him
Wolfpaw continued his trek to the cliffs, his amber eyes narrowed with determination gleaming within them. The grey tom moved through the territory of WinterClan swiftly, and as he came upon the cliffs that everybody always warned him to stay away from, his heart began to pound in his rib cage. Carefully, he placed his paws on the steep slope that led upwards, and he began his trek up the dangerous path.
Blizzardglow was the first to get to the cliffs, right after Wolfpaw. Her eyes caught that of her younger brother, making his way up to the cliffs, and her heart dropped. "Wolfpaw!" She screeched, and already she could feel tears beginning to brim at the corners of her mismatched eyes. "Get down here, NOW!"
Wolfpaw turned ever so slightly, and he let out an angry huff. "I know what I'm doing! Just watch!" He called out to her, and stubbornly continued along his way.
Mysterypaw skidded to a halt just behind Blizzardglow. "Wolfpaw!" She cried, ears pinning back as she looked up at her friend in horror, she swallowed tightly studying the steep cliff trying to see if there was any safe way to get up and intercept him. But there was none, he was on the only path, and trying to catch up to him would be too dangerous for her.
she shuddered. "Wolfpaw, please come down!" She cried edging forwards to try and make herself more visible to him. "You're a great apprentice, you don't need to do this to prove it!"

His eyes widened in alarm as he watched his brother teeter along the edge of death. "Wolfpaw, please." Tigerpaw called to him, trying to keep his voice calm. "That's too dangerous for any of us. Come back down so I can wrestle some sense into you." He teased, although there was clear anxiety in his words. His hope was that the stubborn tom would take him up on his challenge before getting any further up.
Roaringsun looked up at his brother. He couldn’t help but have this horrible feeling of dread wash over him, like he was about to watch something go terribly wrong. He didn’t bother to yell or plead for Wolfpaws return; the student was too stubborn so that would just be a lost cause. Instead, his body did the talking, making his heart begin to race and the blood pound in his ears. His skin tingled with a mixture of adrenaline and anxiety, patched tail whipping around violently. He couldn’t tell if these were truly his own feelings or the feelings that the brothers shared- either way, he knew Wolfpaw would feel his worry and anxiety. They felt everything.
