Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She chuckled, "actually, I met him when I moved here. My mate is Foxfoot. I was Springclan's medicine cat but when Eternalstar became leader of Springclan, she thought I was too soft for her warriors and sent me away to Fallclan. I was going to go back when Cardinalheart became leader but then I fell in love with Foxfoot." She purred, looking at the camp entrance. She figured he was still on patrol. "You know, Foxfoot was actually seeing another she-cat before me. I came in and we started spending more time with one another and he decided to end it with that other she-cat and go with me. I sure am a lucky queen. I do kind of feel bad for that other she-cat, though." She mewed, putting a paw to her chin in thought. Then set it back down before continuing. "I hadn't meant to steal him away from her. But like I said, love hits you when you least expect it. Sometimes with a cat you'd least expect to be with." She mewed with a smile painted on her face.
He nodded in understanding. "Do you think the other she-cat resents for how things played out? Or-" He caught himself. "I apologize. It's not my place to ask." But Foxfoot. The name sounded familiar but he didnt know if he met him or not. Maybe he was one of Burningember's friends.
She giggled, "Its okay! I don't mind if you ask me personal questions!" She gave the tom a comforting flick of her tail. "As for your question, I'm not sure. We never see each other very much. I think she might be avoiding me which I am okay with." She twitched her whiskers in amusement.
He tilted his head from side to side, considering the response. "That makes sense." He looked at her. He was surprisingly that she was so open with even though they just met and dont really know anything about each other, even each others' names at least. His eyes opened at the sudden realization. "I dont think introduced myself. I'm Icefrost," he said with a respectful bow to the queen.
“Fawnheart!!” Foxfoot called his mate from the entrance of camp. He picked up his spoils from the hunting patrol and dropped some prey into the fresh kill-pile before trotting over to her with a plump robin dangling from his mouth. He dropped it in front of her and nuzzled her cheek before sitting next to her, feathered tail flicking wildly. “I figured I’d get you something nice before the big day.” He purred deeply before turning narrow eyes towards Icefrost. “I’m sorry- am I interrupting something?”
Icefrost shook his head quickly at the tom. Judging on his reaction to his reaction to his presence, he assumed the cat was Foxfoot. "No, not at all," he said, looking briefly at Fawnheart expectantly, before looking back to Foxfoot. "We were just...talking," he explained.
(Sorry, guys. I had a migraine all day yesterday and wasn't on)
"Thank you!" She purred, nuzzling her mate back then looked at him with an amused smile, "Its okay Foxfoot. This is Icefrost. We were just having a casual conversation."
Icefrost sighed a slight breath of relief and dipped his head in greeting. "I dont mean any harm." He glanced back toward the rest of camp. "I apologize for any trouble I might have caused."
"You haven't caused any trouble, Icefrost" Fawnheart purred. She understood why Foxfoot would be so protective but she didn't understand why he had to make Icefrost feel so uncomfortable.
"I mean, I could leave if you two have some catching up to do," he suggested. Icefrost really didnt want to get caught up in a situation where the wrong idea could be taken. He didnt see anything wrong but still, he didnt want to risk it.
Foxfoot looked to Fawnheart for a moment, then back to Icefrost, then back to Fawnheart. He squinted harder but decided to let it be, huffing and moving himself close to Fawnheart. “Yeah, yeah... you’re fine, don’t worry. A friend of Fawnheart is a friend of mine.” He lowered his ears at Fawnhearts glare, bending down to bite his meal in anxiety.
Icefrost was still reluctant but decided to stay. A part of him of relieved, however. "Thank you." He inched back towards the pair but settled a tail length away for good measure. "So...," he said trying to break the awkwardness, "how was the hunt?"
The tom nodded. “It’s the season to start focusing on more bird and rabbit than anything else. I think birds are more fun to hunt, anyway.” He ended with a chuckle, light feathered tail slightly twitching.
He nodded. "So how much did the hunting party bring back?" he asked as he glanced over the fresh-kill pile. He was a bit hungry, but that could wait for a little while longer.
She giggled, "I agree! Birds are much more fun to hunt!" Then she glanced at the fresh-kill pile, following the other toms gaze. "It looks like a good load. Why dont you have some, Icefrost?"
