Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Slowly, the day grew hot and humid, a total change from the mornings breezy weather. The clouds slowly rolled away, leaving view of the blue sky and burning sun. Shadedsun, his thick black coat attracting unbearable heat, decided a run would do some good. Feel some wind in his fur. The large tom padded out of SpringClan’s nearly finished camp and into the wilderness beyond. He broke into a swift trot and then, finally, into a run. He raced as fast as he could through the territory, avoiding trees and other obstacles along the way, relishing in the slight breeze that forced itself upon him.
He hadn’t really planned on where he was going, just that he was going, but after a while of running he slowed to a walk near the Valley. Shadedsun, out of breath, sat beside the small river that ran through the area. Now he was hot all over again, and for a second he had the urge to jump into the river’s cold water. Shadedsun decided against it, as he wasn’t a fan of swimming. He settled instead for a long drink, guzzling the cold water until his throat hurt from the coolness. He let out a content sigh, his tail flicking behind him as he cast his bright yellow eyes towards the mountains. He always found the view of WinterClan’s mountains beautiful.

Blackwidow wasn't far away in one of Springclan's many meadows. She drew her lip up over her teeth once again, growling and snapping at the creature in front of her. Foxes weren't exactly an uncommon nuisance and this one had merely wondered into the wrong part of the territory on the wrong day. She let out a low growl and a hiss as a warning, swiping her paws out at the creature that approached. It looked young, it probably was just curious about her but she was not about to get chummy with foxes. It got a little too close, and her paw swiped across its nose, splitting the skin and it let out a loud howl, running away quickly. The black warrior watched the orange and red creature disappear before allowing her fur to lie flat. "Stupid creatures." She murmured, turning around to head to the bank of the river for a drink of water when she noticed Shadedsun. She paused for a moment, greeting him with a flick of her ear before approaching and lapping a few cool drops from the riverside.
"Better watch your back if you head that way. I just chased off a fox that was hardly more than a pup." She tipped her head in the direction she had just come from.
Shadedsun turned to Blackwidow, greeting her with a signature smile. "I'll keep that in mind, Blackwidow." He lay down on the riverbank, the water close enough to lap at the tips of his paws. "How's it going? I'd say I'm doing excellent today, but it's just so hot that I can only say I'm doing 'okay.'" He pulled his paw from the water and ran his tongue over the tips of his toes before resting it down again. "I well needed a good break in the valley. I just love it here, so pretty." He turned his broad head towards the mountain, squinting his eyes from the sun in the process. "I hope you're doing well, today."

Blackwidow didn't say anything at first, listening to him talk silently as she lapped at the water once again. She sat down next to the bank, licking the water off of her fur and bending her head to lick at her chest a few times. "I suppose. Other than that run in with the fox pup it's been rather boring. I was just about to go do some more hunting." She kept her voice very steady and picked her words carefully. Some time had passed since her father's leadership and his death and she wasn't sure if other's still saw him when they looked at her. She didn't particularly look anything like him but ever since she was an apprentice they assumed she would be just like him, just as bloodthirsty and as cutthroat as he was so she felt naturally guarded around other cats. She didn't know Shadedsun well but did he even trust her a little the way he trusted other clanmates? She couldn't say for sure, so she once again hid behind her mask as always.
His head perked up. “I could join you? A hunt sounds nice.” Shadedsun offered, sitting up. The large tom stretched out his muscles, his tail curling above his back. “Where do you wanna go? I’m good anywhere.” Shadedsun shook out his paws and gave Blackwidow another smile. The She-cat seemed prickly, yes, but he didn’t mind. He didn’t perceive her as others did—do—she was just one his clan mates, really. “Where ever you choose, I’ll beat you there.” He challenged playfully. “If you wanna go with me, that is.”

"Sure, I don't see why not. Two cats can bring in more prey than one." Her tone was very neutral as to not give away any of her thoughts but she couldn't help being slightly suspicious of him. Was he one of those that offered to accompany her just to keep tabs on her? Probably. She would keep an eye on him but there was really no reason not to go along with him. "Why don't we head over to the cherry blossoms? There is lots of prey over there this time of year."
"One hundred percent right!" He nodded his approval. "The cherry blossoms are a great choice, I've been hunting there a lot recently." He commented, trying to start up conversation. He hadn't really talked with Blackwidow before, didn't really know her, but today was a good day to start. Maybe they could become friends, even. "Wanna race?" He asked, stepping in beside her. Shadedsun was large, very large, the giant of his siblings. He admitted he could look intimidating, large frame, shaggy black fur, sharp eyes, and part of him liked and was proud of that label. Yes, to outsiders he could be somewhat cold at the beginning, but he was always open to trusting them. Anyone had his trust until they broke it, and Blackwidow hadn't broken it.
"Or maybe just a nice walk? In this heat, I don't know if running is the best idea." He commented.

(Sorry, this got hidden in my bookmarks!)
Unlike Shadedsun, Blackwidow was very small lean and had an elegant air about her. Her pelt was always perfectly smooth and groomed and her green eyes watched him without giving away her thoughts or emotions. A smirk passed across her face. "You think you can beat me? I'm pretty fast... I've always been very good at running." She had always been expected to be the best and to excel. Running, hunting, fighting, speaking, she always pushed herself to be the best no matter what. "Do what you want. I can go for a nice warmup to the cherry blossoms. Last one there has to carry more prey back?" She offered, a sign of playfulness entering her features.
(That’s fine, I also lost the thread for a bit. Also I’m going to continue with him as deputy instead, since I don’t want to have him suddenly be leader halfway through a roleplay.)
Shadedsun twitched his whiskers, a purr rumbling deep in his throat. “I’m a very slow runner, and usually I’d decline, but,” He he took a few large steps before he began to run, “I can’t say no to a challenge.” His paws hit heavy on the earth—probably scaring away half the prey in the process—and his stamina started to quickly deteriorate. Running was not really his thing.

(I may or may not have even realized he was a deputy x'D Sounds good to me lol)
She chuckled softly to herself and ran ahead of him, not too far and not using up all of her energy. If running wasn't really his thing she wouldn't make him feel too bad for getting to far behind him. "We can always slow to a walk - I think we know who would win." The she-cat was small and lithe and built for running, she felt a little guilty making him run.
He looked as if he were considering it for a moment, slowing to a walk beside Blackwidow. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He let out a small laugh. Now padding a bit ahead of her, his mind buzzed joyfully as he walked along with the she-cat. Everything seemed to have happened at one--Cierco and his rogues, getting SpringClan back on its feet, being chosen for deputy--that a nice walk with one of his Clanmates was very much appreciated.
