Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The deliveries had started with flicking a rock over the border. The next day the same rock would be flicked back. A simple, I'm alive gesture.
It wasn't long before there was a system in place. A normal rock meant all was well. When special colorful rocks were tossed over to the leagues border they were gifts and each color had a different meaning based on the type of gem stone.
Eventually a mole was placed weekly and always gone the next he came to visit.
Kotori at first hadn't told Zakiyyah much about these encounters, he recognized the scent of Renegade from a mile away, but he had never actually seen Sean there. But when he started using his rock collection to communicate he had informed her about these encounters. His father loved his rock collection and typically he only gave a few gem stones to his kits at birth, but never this amount and especially knowing he'd never see the gem stones again. To Kotori it was a sign of forgiveness, he felt his father wouldn't use this as a lure because he'd rather use another method of luring one of them out than sacrifice his gem stones. Now leaving the moles out it seemed to be an even better gesture, he was taking time out of his week to hunt for them and trek the long miles to leave this at their border. In truth he never thought he'd forgive his father, but now that he didn't have to live beside any Regime cats, he wouldn't mind a few visits.
"I think we should wait by the border and see who comes," Kotori explained to his sister, "He comes the same day every week and although I never catch dad leaving it there, I'm almost certain it's him given the rock collection. I just... I don't know what to say if we do go through with meeting him there. Like... Okay. I would apologize about Pebble, I'll never forgive myself, her death was never supposed to happen."

When Zakiyyah had first left the Regime, she had only one goal, find Kotori. And she'd done that. It hadn't been hard to locate him, to join the League and choose to live with him. She hadn't known when she'd left whether she'd want to drag him back home, or simply disappear into the night and leave him be. As it turned out, neither of those things had happened. Somewhere along the way, she'd decided mending her relationship with Kotori meant more to her than living in the Regime, despite not yet having gotten truly comfortable in the bloodthirsty group, and having left everything she knew and cared about behind.
She was skeptical about the gemstones when he'd told her. Not about the fact that their father had been the one to leave them, it was fairly easy to discern that much, and more so about the fact of it not being a lure. Normally, she'd agree, this wasn't Sean's style, but in the wake of everything, what was even normal anymore? At the same time, she still had that yearning in her heart for the tunnels, and even if it was a trap, she wasn't sure she minded so much. The former Spy had been extremely close with Sean before this all happened, and then she'd left without warning or explanation, really.
The crimson devil shrugged, china doll eyes drifting over their surroundings as though all the secrets of the world were revealed to her in a mere glance. "Apologizing is all you can do, unless you intend on personally returning to the Regime. Now, I wouldn't recommend that, if you want to live to see another moon. If he's a parent worth anything at all, then he'll understand and let dead cats lie." And if not, then he's not someone who deserved to be in their lives.
"I mean, I'll apologize about Pebble, but the rest were necessary and honestly, I never like Anansi or Plumamine. I know people miss them, but," He grinned darkly, "Those kills felt the most good. Although I do feel bad for killing Plumamine right in front of her sister. Laurel was always nice to me. She was my favorite sister, I gueeeess you can be first now," He smirked at Zakiyyah, but he meant it.
Zakiyyah and him had been getting along well and while he felt incredibly vicious for feeling this way, he was almost happy she was tortured. She clearly came to assassinate him, but after being roughed up they never got along better. He felt guilty for feeling that way, that he knew he should feel guilty about not helping her, but he was happy to know her in this way. If Zak left his life he'd feel like he was missing out on so much. He had a friend when before in the league he had none except for Blythe, but he was pretty sure she was a cannibal...
Kotori motioned towards the border, "Should we get going and see if we can spot good old dad?"
