Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He padded closer to his den and sat with his tail curled around his paws. "I was curious if you have thought about taking an apprentice yet," he started. He didn't want to pressure her into anything whatsoever. "There is no rush, I was just wondering if you had an idea of someone that was interested."
Thrushstar nodded approvingly. "I figured so. You're sometimes so ahead of me I have to run to catch up." he said with a mrrow of amusement. "That was a great idea. It will be very beneficial to have us learn a few basic techniques."
Softpelt's pelt heated up and she chuckled. "That's awfully kind of you to say Thrushstar," She flicked her tail. "But I'm honestly just trying to keep up myself! But I do pride myself on being adaptive in my ways of helping my clan," She said with a purr. "Now, I'm going to go and gather some herbs to set out and see which cats are interested in some learning. And I believe you've got a contest to run."

Rainbowsong huffed, she wasn't a hunter, but she still wanted to do well in this competition. She looked around to see if she could find anyone who could be her partner.
Rainbowsong looked at Darkwily for a moment, a fellow fighter like her? Their chances weren't awesome against hunters, but she supposed two of them was better than one. Plus maybe they could go for bigger prey! Perking up at this thought she nodded. "That sounds like a splendid idea! Let's be off then!" She said raising her tail and heading out not giving Darkwily a chance to really pull himself together.
fearful (are we supposed to hunt in a different thread or here?)
rainbowsong nudged Darkwily, "are we going to do this or what?" She asked the calico she cat's tail flicking behind her as she looked at him expectantly.
He turned his head while sprinting. "It always is!" he said excitedly. He felt young again. It was just a trivial task of feeding the clan, it was something more now.
Rainbowsong quickened her pace so she was moving at a full run after him whiskers twitching with amusement while her eyes gleamed with determination. The day of the dead festival competition forgotten for the moment, all that mattered was getting a bigger catch than Darkwily, fortunately they were both fighters so they were on even terms. Though Rainbowsong was confident she could pull off a victory.
Darkwily veered from the path, slowly to let whatever prey scent there was in the forest. It was flooded with FallClan scents; they were all doing the exact same thing he was. Where was somewhere rarely visited? He tried mapping the forest in his mind, trying to search for an area that was often desolate. The crystal caverns, though forbidden to go into without Thrushstar, saw a lot of activity; the rabbit warren would probably be flooded right now; he decided he'd try the waterfall. The sound there was so deafening perhaps he wouldn't even find a trace of a mouse. But he thought today there might be something.

Bonemaiden watched as the clan milled about. She noted how several cats had decided to go hunting after the leader's words. Her eyes trailed after the groups of cats as they left, yet her paws didn't move. How could one be so alone in a clan they grew up in? She knew why. Out of twelve children born to Asclepius, she was the only one left. Even though they didn't share the same mother, Velvetdusk had been her hunting companion. Copperstain had been the one she despised, yet would fight anyone who threatened him. They were her connection to the rest of the clan. Now she felt more like a loner than her cowardly mother that had left them there.
She couldn't stand there and feel sorry for herself. Her gun-metal eyes fell on the camp exit once more and she willed her paws to move in that direction.

Fjordkit's tail lashed from outside the nursery. "Why can't we go." She whined to her brother. "I want to sit with the leader and deputy."
Rainbowsong went the other way the calico she cat catching whiff of rabbit and heading in that direction, hoping she wasn't scenting a rabbit someone was already tracking.
Softpelt noted how disappointed Fjordkit looked and went over to the kits. "Would you like to learn about herbs with me?" She asked the kits.

Inksplash trotted up to Bonemaiden, "Hey, do we need partners for this contest?" She asked, "I've never been to a festival like this." She added for explanation.

Talonkit bounded up to stand by his sister and gave an excited nod. "That would be so awesome! Thank you Softpelt!" He purred. "Come on, Fjordkit. It's better than sitting around doing nothing."
Fjordkit gave a little sigh and flicked her tail. She would rather be out hunting with the apprentices, but her brother was right. "Okay..." She told the medicine cat, still looking a bit crestfallen.
Bonemiaden's ears pricked as Inksplash approached her. "I think that is the idea. I'm sure you could do it on your own." She answered with a shrug. The rigid feline wanted to mention how it was more fun to go as a group, but her pride kept it from coming out. No one needed to know that she felt that way. It would only make her seem weak.
Softpelt purred. "Wonderful! Right this way," She beckoned for them to follow her leading them back towards her den where small piles of different herbs had been set out for showing. "All right, first rule, don't put anything in your mouths. I have some treats you can try, but everything here," She gestured with her tail at the herbs, "Not a treat, these are all medicines or in some cases." She gestured a paw to the red death berries. "Deadly."

"Oh, well I'd rather not try to bend the rules. Do you have a partner? Or know anyone who doesn't have a partner yet?" Inksplash asked.
Darkwily watched the she-cat move in the other direction. He felt kind of let down; he had hoped they would hunt together. He moved the opposite way towards a delicious scent of thrush.

Talonkit's eyes grew wide as the medicine cat spoke. There were so many herbs! He couldn't believe the amount of leaves and berries were in the den. If his eyes could grow any wider, they did after she pointed out the red berries. He scooted away from them as if just touching them would kill him. Fjordkit, on the other paw, gazed around in curiosity. "Why would you need something that could kill a cat?" She questioned with a tilt of her faded calico head.
Bonemaiden's ears twitched in surprise. She wasn't expecting anyone to want to partner with her, truthfully. "Uh.. no I don't have a partner yet." She admitted. Part of her willed the other cat to go find someone else. She wasn't exactly the most pleasant company and she would hate to make Inksplash upset...
