Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. She was so tired of crying. She was emotionally, physically and mentally drained. She had spent all night — from the moment the sun dipped down behind the crest of the mountains, the bustle of the league residents quieted to a still, the sad song of crickets resistant of exposing themselves, until the return of that golden disc in the sky and the shed of warmth she received just barely moving into the entrance of the prison — questioning why it is that this was now her life. What was the purpose? Why was it her? Why was she here? What was her path now?
She was too young to understand. Too young to believe it was real. She grit her teeth and shut her eyes tight. It’s not real, it’s just a dream. They opened at the sound of steps approaching and she pressed herself back against the wall.
Why? Where was Altaïre? Who did this? Is this her true fate?
