Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The steady flow of blood from Solaris' now darkened eyes was a crushing sensation. How far this renowned Nemesis had fallen in less than half a day.
It had started as a simple scouting mission of the old territory. He had left his Proxies in charge, and gone to check out the prey quality in their former home. He had traveled quickly, alone, and met little opposition among the way. Perhaps it had been his mistake, his fault to take a few moments to sit and rest in the mid-day heat. He had grown drowsy, and begun the return walk home with the same lethargic gait, without paying attention to his surroundings.
The badger had erupted from its den unexpectedly, with a deafening roar, and Solaris had been too late to react. The sideswipe of the badgers sharp claws had torn across his face, and he had ran in terrified darkness.
Now he sat, unsure of where he was, unable to see the birds he could hear chirping so heartily in the trees. Unable to move, unable to figure out what to do now. His sight was gone, he wasn't that much of a fool as to deny it, and he was lost far from home. Not that it would matter if he returned, anyway. He couldn't lead. Except for his mate and coming kits, nothing seemed worth living for at the moment.

"Ah, ah, ah.. what do we have here." Golden eyes took in the orange tabby tom, taking in the blood slowly taking over his features and haggard appearance. "What a poor sight you are on the eyes right now." Marchosias purred as he leaned forward to take a sniff towards the tom. Registering the hint of the league with slight surprise; the league cats hadn't been within their territory in a long time. He had assumed they had been wiped out or had moved on for good.
"Do you want me to put you out of your misery then?" He asked, stepping away once more and circling around the tom on soft steps. Purposefully making himself hard to hear or track in case the larger tom wished to strike out at him. Not that Marchosias had high hopes he would be able to, the tom was obviously just recently blinded. Seemed to be in shock, truthfully he wondered why he was wasting his time ever conversing with him.
But the league scent had snagged his attention and he supposed he would see this through now.
For one moment Solaris was tempted to say yes. He had always prided himself on his fighting abilities, his quick mind and strong build. The League had no place for weakness, and he had no idea of knowing where the future would take him if he ever got back there. Would his life even be worth living? The only thing that made him pause was Savagnin's face in his mind.
"Not yet." He responded after a moment, taking a deep breath. "I need... I need to get home."

"Home..?" He repeated as he tilted his head, not that the other could see it, pausing in his circling. "Home must be something very special to you if you wish to return even after this.. accident." Marchosais stood behind the others right shoulder, rolling thoughts over in his mind. Thinking about how he could take advantage of this, as there was always something to be gained from a cat who had been backed into a corner. "Where is home then?"
Solaris E'tan hesitated in his response, unsure of how much he wanted to reveal to this tom. True, he needed his help to return, but he didn't want to bring home a threat, someone or a group that could destroy the recovering League. The flow of blood from his eyes had slowed, resembling dark sludge more than crimson rivers. "Far away." He responded simply at first. "Primal Instinct is planning our return, and I was scouting."

"Oh? Scouting for trouble then? Trying to get injured so you could escape the responsibility?" Marchosais asked with a wicked edged grin, the way the tom spoke towards him holding some sway in the group. What that sway was he didn't yet know but he was sure it would be easily sussed out seeing how they were at very uneven positions in this conversation. "Well it's a shame you were the only scout. As it seems the league will now never know what it is you have to report. What about the badger and everything."
“A shame...” Solaris echoed somewhat hollowly, exhaling softly. “Who are you, anyway? Why are you near League territory?” His question wasn’t aggressive, merely curious. If he was to ask for this toms help, he wanted to be able to trust him, at least minimally.
