The patter of rain was finally letting up, and Cadet Desdemona was grateful. She had been caught in the rainstorm and found a nearby tunnel entrance to pop into until the rain passed but found the shallowness of the entrance led to a concussion of noise again the earth just above her head. The tabby she-cat began a series of rapid strokes down her fur, trying to dry the large, dark spots where the first, fat raindrops hit her like stones.
Her form was slight, which made her ideal for scout work, but also made her an easy victim for the cold. The cooler, wetter air that moved in after the storm seemed to cut through her wet pelt and burrow into her bones. She knew greenleaf was just ahead, another moon or so, but for the life of her she couldn't believe it, at least not with this chill in the air.
Standing up, she tentatively slipped out of the tunnels back into the rain-soaked grass that tickled her belly and looked up. The sky was miraculously clear despite the recent deluge and, arching across it like it had been left in the wake of a leaping rabbit, was a colorful band of light. "A rainbow," she murmured to herself, unable to conceal a small smile. It had been a while since she'd seen one. Maybe this meant she'd have good luck on her hunt today.
He was the remainder. He had one two... Okay whatever, he wasn't a bad brother if he forgot how many siblings he had, but he could recite their names, Angel, Ethereal, Serene, Arcane, and him. No. Wait. Was he missing one? Right, Cinnamon. It wasn't or at least didn't feel like many weeks ago that his blood mother and father approached him and he learned he was a Regime cat living in SunClan with a DayClan foster mom. Things got pretty weird fast for everyone which was why half moved to DayClan and half moved to the Regime, but he stayed with his foster father in SunClan because he didn't want to leave his dad alone with no family. He was the only one that stayed. Now he was more coonfident though and Dusky wanted too see Arcane and Serene in Renegade Regime. He was in DayClan when he listened in on the emissaries conversations and learned that the something bad happened in the Regime. He just didn't know what.
Now he was caught up in the rain, his dark brown fur looking more black against the dark grey backdrop of the sky. He had a black underbelly, mid tail, and the sides of his face were also black with a white crescent mark looking almost branded to the side of his eye resembling the mark of his older brother he never knew, Kotori, but his marking was much slimmer. The front of his front legs were white and the back of his back legs were also white, but what stood out most was his crystalline bright blue gaze looking like comets.
"Dammit where are the stupid tunnel holes," Duskpaw groaned, he had been walking a very long time to get here after all.

{ { faithy! what's shakin, bacon? } }
The strange cat's scent hit her the same time she heard his muttering, and Cadet Desdemona pressed herself to the ground instantly, thanking the stars that the grass was high enough to offer some protection. He looked kinda familiar, like some of the other new recruits that had moved in a moon or so earlier. The she-cat slowly stood up, trying to get a read on his body language. He didn't seem to mean any harm, though he did look frustrated.
Drawing up her confidence, she raised her tail and plastered on a scowl. "What are you doing on Regime territory?" she called, her tail really the only thing that could be seen over the tall grass. "Stop, and announce your business." Her voice was a lot more firm than her resolve, however, and it was with hesitant paws that she made her way to the tom's side. Here, thankfully, the grass was a little shorter and her lithe tabby frame was finally visible. She didn't look angry or scared, but more like a little kid trying to emulate a grown-up.
(I'll be out for summer in five days! I've been making more video games than I literally ever have before so I have a lot to put in my portfolio and I totally decked out my character profiles if you wanted to take a look!)
"My names Duskpaw, but you can call me Dusky. I'm looking for my brother Serene and sister Arcane."
Of course he had no idea that his brother had changed his name to Serenity. His tail drooped a bit at the greeting, what if Serene and Arcane didn't want anything to do with him now? What if they hated him for staying in SunClan? He began to feel a bit of doubt, usually he didn't care about anyone, but he actually liked his littermates. He held his head a little taller and found his relaxed demeanor returned to him, "So how about you tell me where they're at. But maybe after we find somewhere to dry off, this rain is awful."

{{ Dude that's so cool! I just finished my first interactive fiction game and my very first board game for final semester projects this year! I'll def take a look @ yours }}
"Serene and Arcane..." Cadet Desi tried to place the names and finally recalled meeting a she-cat named Arcane. "You're their litter-mate?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow in disbelief. It really was convenient that some tom from SunClan decided to claim kin to Regime cats now, of all times, but Cadet Desi was also loathe to keep litter-mates separate as she understood how important family is.
"I don't think I can just let you into the tunnels," she began slowly, trying to figure out how to say this. "Even if they are family, I don't think you can just waltz about the territory like you belong. You are an outsider. On the other paw, they are your family. I..." She trailed off, stuck. What was there to do that wouldn't get her in trouble with her superiors later? "I think I can leave you up here if you promise not to go anywhere while I fetch Arcane for you. I don't know of a Serene, though, so maybe your brother went somewhere else instead?"
(Aww! I remember when I first made my interactive game, it was about a gangster 10 year old and you had to make him or her the top gangster to survive xD)
"No that's impossible. From what I heard Serene like became obsessed with the idea of joining Renegade Regime. I've never heard of him being this excited, I can't even imagine him not being here. But. Well... I was kind of hoping I could get an idea of what the Regime was like. Arcane and Serene are my family, I was hoping if the Regime isn't too insane of a life style that maybe I could join now that I think my dad is in a more stable place," Duskpaw explained.
He looked maybe not confident, but incredibly relaxed despite being in the rain and on another groups territory talking to a stranger. There was such an unnatural calm demeanor to his eyes unlike anyone else's. He sat down on the grass his tail curling around him, it was possible he wasn't going to leave unless forced, he wanted to see his family again.

Cadet Desdemona winced, more to herself than in response to anything Dusky said. She knew she'd get into trouble if she brought an outsider into the tunnels without permission, and she lived her life trying not to get into trouble... "Here," she said, strengthening her resolve. "Come sit under here - " She motioned with her tail towards the disguised tunnel entrance only a few paces from them. "It'll be dryer, and you'll be out of sight. Then I can go ask Superior Limavady if she can escort you to your siblings. That's really the best I can do."
She gave him a sympathetic look. He was a potential groupmember and she really did understand his plight, so she wanted to give him the best shot at seeing his family as possible. "Can you do that? Stay here, and stay out of trouble? I shouldn't be too long gone, I promise." She gave him a small smile and tilted her head, oblivious to his strangely calm demeanor and just happy that he wasn't angry or crying.

"Yes I can sit still unlike the rest of my family," Duskpaw said. Amusement lit in his eyes as a mellow smile crossed past his lips, "Go ahead and run off wherever."
He turned around, "I'm genuine when I say I just want to be with my family so go ahead and run off. My curious eyes won't follow," He said turning one more time to wink at her before turning back around.

Cadet Desi couldn't hide a smile at his humor and felt her face heat at his wink before she turned tail and disappeared into the darkness of the tunnels. As she descended, the air dried out a bit and the temperature lowered from the balmy heat up top to a cooler, more comfortable temp. She wasn't sure where she'd find her superior, but thought that HQ would be the best best. She wasn't exactly allowed in, though, so she made her way to the main post and stopped just outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of Limavady and convey her need to talk.

A paw came to her shoulder, silently, gently, claws extended but careful not to cut her, "Peeking in on private affairs, are we?" His green eyes held amusement as he stepped up once more to come to her side. Limavady seemed to have a knack of sneaking up on those who dared to hunt for him.

Cadet Desdemona jumped when he touched her, fur raising along her spine instantly. When she saw who it was, she felt her face flush and cast her eyes down. Mousebrain, she thought to herself, then forced herself to steel her nerves and look Limavady in the eyes. "Superior Limavady," she said, wishing her fur would settle faster. "There's an outsider who says he has family who just joined the Regime and wants to visit them. He said he's considering joining as well. I didn't want to bring him into the tunnels without permission, though, so I just left him at the tunnel entrance."

"Arcane and some cat named Serene? I've never heard of the latter but he's only a cadet and I doubt he would try to get into the tunnels for ill. I just thought you would know better what to do." Cadet Desdemona was relieved the decision was in another cat's paws, as she didn't want to be the reason any harm befell the Regime. She knew Limavady would know best.

Another long, drawn-out pause ensued. His green eyes flicked to the ground as he thought his options over. "Lets go meet him, then." He flicked his tail and assumed the way, down the same path Desdemona had came. "What is his name?"
