Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Exsperavit exhaled sharply, trying to catch his breath in the darkness that seemed to engulf him. The darkness that swallowed him up and spit him out as if he were rotten crowfood in disguise. The tangle-furred grey tom took a step forward, then backwards, then forward again. He shook his head, trying to get the dark thought worms out of his head. If he shook his head enough they’d come out his ears. He crouched low, casting his head to the sky which was so beautifully painted. But why? The sky was suppose to be blue! It was late, he remembered, this was suppose to happen. It was suppose to happen. “It’s not time yet, no, no, no! The world will end when the sky turns as red as my blood. It will run with us, terrified of itself,” He wondered if the ghosts were listening. They were near, he could feel their eyes like knives on his back, they were reaching for him, willing him to come with them. No. “but I shall save them. When the sun comes down I will throw it back! The sky will bleed blue instead.” He could feel their expectant stares. They wanted him. Needed him. Exsperavit jumped to his paws. He could feel the ghosts paws on his pelt. They wanted him. They begged him to come with them. No! He would not. Again their claws pierced him. “I said no! Leave me alone! I will go when I’m ready! I’m not....” He trailed off, his tail lashing. He bent over and nibbled the top, just above his hindquarters. An itch! An itch so bad he might die! It was this blasted pelt. Always itching. He chewed until the itch was gone and sat back up. He shook his head again, only stopping when he felt dizzy and lightheaded. He stumbled and fell to his side. “You will not take me, if you do how will I save us all?”
"Do you mind? Some of us are trying to sleep" came an sharp tone from a pretty ginger she-cat with a long scar across her face. Her turquoise eyes sparkled in the moonlight but even though they were beautiful, they held anger and annoyance.

Exsperavit startled, his fur rising and his claws unsheathing. "What? Who is that? A ghoulie? They have never talked before." He glanced around. "Must be a subject. Good day, mortal! Oh what sleep do you need for? We will all die in short days time, mother always said so yes she did." He flattened his fur and settled onto his belly. "But do not worry, you will be safe. Would you care to join me in the digging of tunnels? As the world floods and burns we must hide under ground until I stop the sun from falling." He tucked his tail around himself, a protective shield. "Unless you are foe, life-sucker. But you do not smell like evil. No, no." His eyes pierced the growing darkness. "I cannot see you, where did you go?"
“The world is mad! You have not heard, little voice? The world will come close to ending, so very close, hoe have you not heard?” Exsperavit shifted his paws, his tail lashing. “Do not be afraid, only the evil shall perish. I will save us all, for I am a god. Please, tell me your name, little voice. Exsperavit.”
Flame was a hard-core feline but even this tom freaked her out. "Well, while your saving the world, make sure you keep it down." she flicked her tail and started to pad away.

Exsperavit was taken aback, how did this voice not believe him? "You are a fool, a fool! You don't believe me, and that will cause your death! How, how, how can the world be so blind?" He shook his head until he felt dizzy. "What are you called, voice, please show yourself. Unless you cannot, unless you wish to take my power. Mother warned me about you, she did, she hid me from you! It was so dark, so very dark, but it was safe. You cannot take me, life-sucker, or you and the entire world will perish."
"Excuse me?" she halted and turned to look over her shoulder when Exsperavit called her a fool. She spun around and marched up to the confused cat, "I don't know who you think you are but I suggest you hold your tongue!" She growled, her lips curling to reveal sharp teeth.

Exsperavit lifted himself to face this new she-cat. She had a killer's mouth. "Hold my tongue? I cannot! It is in my mouth." The tangle-furred grey tabby tom's eyes widened, the colour of half-dead grass on a freezing autumns day. "I am Exsperavit, a powerful being, the most powerful being, your savior! I had expected you to bow to me, your god, but I do not ask much of the mortals. They are forever in my dept." He met her blue eyes, his own wide as full moons. "Why must the world carry evil? I do not understand. Why must their hearts be as dark as Home? If you, life-sucker, take my power, my life, then the world will be overcome with evil. The floods! The fire! The sun will fall and it will all be your fault, you had killed the one being that could save you all. The ghosties would not approve." He looked out, padding past the she-cat, his tail trailing under her muzzle. He could hear their whispers. "Do you hear them? They are warning you. Singing you a song of destruction." His ears twitched, trying to pick up the song that hung, barely audible, on the breeze.
"Sick? I'm not sick." He whipped around to face her. "The world is sick, sickening, sickened." The ghosts had stopped their song. "You refuse to see what's right in front of you, if anything your sick. Delusional. The world is ending and nobody can see it." He unsheathed his claws and dug them into the ground, ripping up the dirt underneath. "How can nobody see?"
Exsperavit shook his head, his eyes trailing the ground. "I'm no freak. This isn't in my head. Mother told me, she's seen it! She's known all her life." The tabby tom sat in front of the she-cat. "I'm sorry you can't see that. Please, stay." He didn't want her to leave, not in this darkness. She would never come back and he would be all alone. "Stay, if you leave the dark will swallow you. I don't want to be alone." He lay down in front of her, twisting on his back. "I never got your name, little voice." He looked up at her. He was breaking her with his words. He could see it in her eyes, her madness, her helplessness. He would help her, he would protect her until he could push back the sun. "I don't want to loose it."
She stared at him for a long moment, studying him. She didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. However, if he was that afraid of the dark, she supposed it wouldn't hurt to stay until daylight. "My name is Flame" she mumbled, settling down in a comfortable crouch and wrapping her tail neatly around her paws.

"A beautiful name, a little light. Exsperavit is my own." He shifted beside her, his eyes piercing her pelt. Where did you get that name? The name of beautiful destruction. The name of the second natural destroyer." He kneaded the ground with his claws. She would either save the world or destroy it. "Funny how your eyes are the colour of the water. The colour of the water as it floods the world." Exsperavit scanned his surroundings, the dark swallowing him. After all those moons in the dark, he wondered how he still yet couldn't see through it. The dark was murky water, clouding his senses, filling his lungs, inescapable. He stared into the forest. The trees were singing his name. "Do you fancy a walk? I love walks. I'm free, when I go for walks." He twitched his ears towards the soft thump of his tail on the ground.
"My real name is Flamingsoul" she responded to him about her name. "I changed it to Flame when I moved to the league. I used to be a Moonclan cat" bringing up her passed made her gaze harden and she dug her claws into the ground. Though the way he talked about her name made her feel prideful of it and a small smile took over her hardening gaze. "I thought you were afraid of the dark" she pointed out, raising a brow, a smirk twisting in her beautiful face when he offered to go for a walk.

He tilted his head, confusion clouding his eyes. "Afraid of the dark? The dark? Why would I be afraid of the dark? The dark is a special place, a familiar place, a place that'll protect us all. But it can be dangerous, too. A monster if it needs to be." He stared past her, to the sky, littered with countless stars. "That's what mother said. 'The darkness will hide you.'" He remembered that day very well. Exsperavit shook his head. "It's not the dark I'm afraid of, it's what could be in the dark! Oh there are so many possibilities, so many enemies! They want to kill me, I can feel it. The ghosties too. They follow me everywhere, their claws trying to drag me with them, to join them." His tail began to lash. "They want to world to die." He turned, quick as lightning, toward the forest once more. "How about that walk, I need it." He began to walk, but half of his paws felt heavy and the other half felt light. He shook out the two heavy paws. "I can tell you don't like talking about your past. I wonder, wonder, wonder. But I do not intrude upon the mortals. Not one bit." He stopped and turned, waiting for her to follow. "We can find the tunnels out there, the tunnels that I am digging to save us."
Exsperavit shook his head, “No, no, you cannot enter them yet. If you enter they will be destroyed. I have started digging them, but they are not ready yet. I just hope I finish them before the floods come. And I hope the floods come before I die. Mother would be disappointed if I can’t save the world.” He skipped on ahead, entering the outside world with a gasp. “I’m free!” He laughed, skipping around in pure joy. But it crashed down once he heard the screechings of the ghosties. “Why must you ruin everything?” He questioned, his tail lashing and falling as the last of the quick joy drained away.
