Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A stunning ginger she-cat sat in a tree, clear view from anyone below her. Her tail dangling from off the branch, swinging. She didn't care if they saw her not. Maybe she wanted them to see her. The bright moon added a silver outline upon Flame's ginger fur and created an illuminating sparkle within her turquoise eyes. She looked completely harmless besides the scar that stretched across her muzzle. However, inside she was twisted. Though she wore innocence well and could fool anyone into thinking she was harmless. Unfortunately, she is not what she seems. Inside she is twisted and dark. Dare to approach?
Kasdeya-kun was passing by the tree, off to fetch a previously buried kill, when she saw the new Hunter. Perhaps not as outright pretty, Kasdeya-kun held her unique beauty of tinged cream fur and one blue, one orange eye in higher esteem than the conventional beauty that others held. Snorting with disdain, Kasdeya-kun looked up at Flame, contempt in her eyes. "I hope it doesn't get too breezy up there. You might fall, and that would be... a shame."
Flame peered down at the trainee, her eyes flashing in the moonlight. A wicked grin parted her lips. She slid out of the tree like a snake and landed gracefully onto the forest floor. She slithered up to the trainee, her turquoise eyes narrowed. "Would it though? Would it really be a shame?" Her voice was a little more than a whisper and was quiet gentle and soft.
"No, not really." Kasdeya-kun said bluntly, her mismatched eyes peering into Flame's with no hint of shame. "There's too many cats in the League anyway. Maybe some population control would be a good thing."
Flame's whiskers twitched in amusement, "true...true..." She circled the trainee. "We could do population control...starting with you?" She wasn't really going to kill Kasdeya-kun, she just wanted to see if she could make her nervous.
"You could try." Kasdeya-kun gave the Hunter another glance over, seeming unimpressed. "Though I doubt it would go the way you expect. And I don't want to fight, anyways, I'm not in the mood. I was just saying it wouldn't be a shame to watch someone fall out of a tree."
"Scared? Of you? No." Kasdeya-kun narrowed her mismatched eyes, lip curling faintly. "Fighting a former clan cat just wouldn't be worth my time or energy."
Flame's gaze hardened, "What?" She bared her teeth. How dare this pint sized feline insult her blood. "You better mind your authorities , little tyke" she growled. "I may not have been born in the league but I completed my initiation. I'm a full pledged league hunter. Your just a trainee. I'm superior!"
"Yeah, so what? All you did was let some cats beat you up for a month, that doesn't make you special." Kasdeya-kun snorted, glancing up at the other she-cat with a surly expression. "And you're not my authority. You're just older than me, which means you're closer to falling out of a tree when your ancient legs give out and dying."
Flame's expression softened and turned into a sweet, yet frightening, grin. "Tsk tsk tsk" Flame shook her head. "You have so much to learn, little one. So I suggest you run along and play, like a good little trainee."
"You're no better." Kasdeya-kun shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe that's why we ran into each other, so we can annoy the fur off of each other." That was what a majority of Kasdeya's time was spent doing anyway, so this was a typical evening for her.
"Fair point. Maybe I will." The thick beach woods blocked out a lot of the sea breeze, and the nights had only been getting more stifling and humid. The small trainee turned her mismatched eyes to the top of the tree, curious.
“Not usually. It seems to be an unnecessary risk. Though if you recommend it so strongly, I may try it.” Kasdeya-kun turned an inquisitive glance to Flame.
