Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The Midday sun shown brightly down on Summerclan's territory, the warmth brought by it's rays heralded by sweet birdsong as they hopped cheerfully from branch to branch, collecting leftover twigs and leaves to build new nests for the future generation. On many of those branches, tiny green buds had begun to form; soon to bloom into bright, colorful blossoms before blanketing the treetops with a wave of green. On the ground, tiny flowers and green grasses were starting to poke out from the earth they were previously hidden in, keeping themselves safely under the protection of the broad tree trunks and thorny bushes.
Sure enough, Newleaf was finally here; the joyous laughter of apprentices romping through the forest declared it so.
"Last one to Rabbit Meadow wins, Crimsonpaw!"
The surrounding trees became a brown blur as Mudpaw darted through the woods, bounding over logs and roots almost effortlessly. Her paws pounded against the dirt and dry leaves in a drumming rhythm as she ran, and it was as if the soft spring breeze was carrying her along in the chase. The chocolate-brown havana's ears twitched as the sound of rushing water grew closer, and she braced herself before quickly hopping across the Stepping Stones, landing gracefully on the other side before continuing her sprint. In only a few more strides, the apprentice burst out of the forest into the wide-open field, a flock of small sparrows resting in the tall grass quickly taking flight at her sudden appearence. Mudpaw grinned juberantly to herself as she finally slowed her pace to a walk before finally stopping, her body shaking from the adrenaline and the young she-cat breathing heavily. Her yellow-green gaze glanced back towards where she came, and she laughed triumphantly. "Al...right! I...won!"

(You write really well! I felt as if I was actually there in SummerClan! Consider this a compliment. I wish there was a way on this site to give them like WF.)
"I let you," Crimsonpaw meowed breathlessly. His sides were heaving in and out after the long, fast run. Gradually as his breathing slowed, the fresh scents of Newleaf began to become clearer to him. These were smells he had never known before having been born during Leaffall. Life was exciting to him, being an apprentice was a pleasure, and just being out and running with his best friend was exhilarating. The reddish tom just plain enjoyed living. He couldn't think of anything he liked better. And being a SummerClan cat made everything the best. There was no clan in his opinion that was better.
(Awwwww, thanks so much! I try my best lol Yeah, it would be super nice to be able to give compliments again. Oh well.)
"Yeah, suuuure," Mudpaw retorted sarcastically, rolling her eyes with a smirk. Her chest heaved as she caught her breath, and she plopped down onto the grass with a heavy 'thud' when her long legs felt too tired to hold her up any longer. Another soft breeze swept through the meadow, and the apprentice closed her eyes as she embraced the cooling wind, relaxing while the rush of crackling reeds roared around her. "We were going really fast though," she pointed out, stiffling a yawn. "I wouldn't be surprised if we set a record or something. I bet Ravenstar and Tuskblood will praise us for how much we've been practicing." Being the respective apprentices of Summerclan's leader and deputy meant that the whole clan had high hopes for the two of them, standards that the competitive she-cat was more than happy to hold herself to. To her, the warmer weather meant she had more time to explore and work harder. She wasn't going to settle for anything less than the best warrior in Summerclan.

(I've been extremely busy. Sorry I haven't replied sooner.)
"That'll be the day," Crimsonpaw responded as he still was trying to get his breathing back to normal. He didn't think he'd ever be praised for anything. "But I'll admit we were really fast. Faster than I ever ran before." He sat back and stretched his back. "You know," he continued. "We're good for each other. You really push me to be my best." He looked over at Mudpaw and smiled. He could feel the beating of his heart slowing back to normal. A bird swooped down after some flying insect and caught it in it's mouth then flew off. "I wish we could catch birds as easily as they can catch bugs."
'We're good for each other.' Mudpaw felt herself blush underneath her dark fur and quickly turned her head away, chuckling nervously. "Y-yeah, totally. You always push me to do better too, you know; I wouldn't be half as good as I am if you weren't around," she admitted somewhat sheepishly, her claws fidgeting against the dirt as her breathing finally settled. Luckily, a distraction came in the form of the bird, which she watched swoop down with mild interest. "Eh, hunting wouldn't be half as fun if it were easy," came the reply, the young apprentice shrugging as she turned her head to give her shoulder fur a few good licks. "At least they're the ones eating the bugs instead of us."

Crimsonpaw was warmed by Mudpaw's comment about him helping her. Suddenly he began seeing her in a different light and he liked it. He smiled at her bug comment. "Now that would be totally gross. I saw a robin pulling a worm out of it's hole yesterday." He thought about the slimy, unappetizing thing and stuck out his tongue in disgust. "How they can eat that stuff is beyond me." But as he thought about it more another idea came to him. "I guess if they didn't eat bugs, we'd be overrun by them."
"EWWWW! You're right, that's even worse!" Mudpaw groaned, sticking her tongue out dramatically and bristling in disgust. "Could you imagine? Our nests would be overrun by ticks and ants! We'd never be able to clean out the dirtplace because there'd be so many flies! Night patrols would be eaten alive by mosquitos!" Her honestly pretty gross rambling was then cut short by a loud chirp before a sandy-brown sparrow swooped right between the two of them. The apprentice stared after it for a moment before bursting into a fit of fluttering giggles. "I guess we should be thankful for the birds then; eating bugs so we don't have to! Helps that they're so delicious too!"

"What - the birds or the bugs?" Crimsonpaw laughed giving Mudpaw a playful shoulder bump. "I hope you were referring to the birds." Then another thought came to him. He remembered hearing a saying when he was a kit. "Do you remember hearing,'you are what you eat'? If we eat birds and birds eat bugs, does that make us birds or bugs?" He felt a little silly after he said it but it was out there now for Mudpaw to hear.

Crimsonpaw scratched his paw in the dirt with a smile on his face. He inadvertently dug up a small worm. Hooking it over the claws on his right paw, he held it up for Mudpaw to inspect. "Hey! Here's something tasty to eat," he teased. "Wanna be a worm?"
"I meant the birds, you mousebrain," Mudpaw retorted with a playful roll of her eyes, before immediately letting out a yelp and flinching away as soon as Crimsonpaw held out the worm towards her. "Ewwww, no! I don't want to eat that! It probably doesn't even taste good!" The apprentice stared at it for a moment, before cautiously lifting her front paw and delicately poking at the dangling creature, only to quickly recoil again as soon as she touched it. "Ugh, it's slimy. I bet it tastes like a frog or salamander or something. Are you seriously gonna eat that, Crimsonpaw?"

(Sorry, it got buried in my list.)
"Are you moused brained?" he teased with a laugh. "I'd never eat something like this." He held up the worm for a closer inspection. Then with a wrinkled nose, he tossed the worm away. That is he tried to toss it but it didn't go very far. It slipped from his paw as he threw it and the thing arched up and then came down on the top of Mudthistle's head. The whole incident was so comical to Crimsonpaw that he burst out laughing. "Ha! You look so funny with a worm on your head!" He dropped to the ground and rolled over in a fit of laughter.
(Are they still going to be apprentices in this thread?)
