"Children of the Sun, the High Priest/Priest Promised desires your presence below the Springrock." By now, the sayings were known by the cats of SunClan. Each word was spoken with the right inflections, warm breath mixing with the humid air of the Ceremony Springs as Foxstar's voice rose above the crowd.
"It is with great reverence that I, High Priestes Foxstar, stand beneath our Great Protector today and bask in his eternal rays. With his permission and guidance, it is now that I grant our youth their new names. May they serve him well and bring blessings onto his people."
Today, however, the Young Suns' Rising ritual was not the only one commencing. Luna had waited long and studied hard for this day, and now the former DayClan she-cat would have her heart judged by the Sun God himself. She had chosen SunClan over her old home, and that already was a great show of loyalty. Today, however, would prove whether her heart was true.
"Initiate, you have worked hard serving SunClan, and learning the ways of the Sun God. You've proven that you can act as a part of SunClan, and you can work as a part of SunClan, but now, the Sun God will tell us if you truly have the heart of a SunClan cat. Step forward, Luna, and let the Sun shine on your soul." Foxstar smiled softly at the feline, as though knowing something the other did not, though the expression was hardly comforting. The Priestess glanced down at the Sunflower that rested lightly on the bloodstained stone, a soft chuckle escaping her as the flower burst into brilliant flame, bright orange with blue flickers that seemed to match the Initiate's eclipse eyes.
"Luna, the Sun has examined your heart and seen that you are truly worthy of joining SunClan. As the tides shift, abandon your old lives and begin them anew in service to the Sun God. I now grant you your new name."

And that concluded the first Ceremonies of newleaf. It wasn't much, but that was alright. The clan was still as strong as ever, and now they had yet another loyal member welcomed to them with open arms.
