Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Blakelystar let out a yawn. Her green and yellow gaze flicked out to the wide open skies. She licked her lips before lying her head down, death was great, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. That was until she woke up again and realized why she had woken up in the first place. She was supposed to go down and mentor Vixenpaw. Sure, she was the only apprentice in DayClan to have an actual personal mentor, but still, future medicine cats needed all the help they could get, especially since she had knowledge of herbs outside of Vixenpaw's clan. In a panic she looked around and felt stupid doing so. Why would there be any herbs in StarClan? She'd just have to find some there and teach Vixenpaw about them. Not to mention medicine cats were able to see spirit guides even when they became medicine cats, Vixenpaw could grow up to be Vixen... Whatever and then spend the rest of her life judging her for being late on the first day!
The scarlet calico practically ran into the medicine cat den with zero grace and came to a halt right before a near tragedy of slamming into Vixenpaw, "Heh, hey, I'm Blakelystar, I used to be medicine cat for WaterClan. Oh I'm sorry, I should have asked first, are you able to read lips?"
She had spent some time shadowing Vixenpaw and recognized she had a disability that she wasn't entirely sure herself how to go around. However her first medicine cat apprentice had been blind, nothing was impossible.
Vixenpaw practically jumped back as the spirit almost ran into her. She tilted her head at the cat whom claimed her name was Blakelystar once her heart stopped threatening to burst out of her chest. Why would a medicine cat have a leader's name? Before she could inquire about Blakelystar's name, the former medicine cat/possibly past leader asked if she could read lips. "Of course." she scoffed. She'd gotten better since she'd become an apprentice. Between practicing more with Flyingcolors and having had to learn quicker when they'd been in SunClan, she felt much more confident in her abilities to keep up with those who spoke faster. It was always fun to see the shock on others faces when they realised she could understand them despite being deaf.
"I've trained a blind apprentice before, but never deaf," Blakelystar commented thinking to herself for a moment, "Alright," She nodded to herself in thought as she began heading to the back of the medicine cat den. She placed her ear over the ground before giving another nod, "We need to give you some muscle so you can have strength to fend off the medicine cat den. I want you to start digging right over here. There's water below that we can use for all kinds of therapeutic purposes. It'll help your clan and help yourself in training so how about you dig a ditch."
