Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Stormshelter. Hey, you up?" Chimerahunt muttered to his adopted brother, standing over him in the warrior's den and prodding him with a paw. "I need someone to go out with me." It was strange, the words leaving his mouth; just a few moons ago, he'd been the one laying on the floor of the camp, adamantly refusing to get up even as the Guardian demanded it. But ever since the sickness, Chim had been a helpful member of society again.. at least for now.
"Look, I'm not any more excited about this than you are. Just shut up and come with," the tom snapped, irritated. His tail snapped once, then he stalked out of the den, waiting for his brother to join him. This had been so much easier before Ghosttoad had died; the butler had been at his side through every moment of the sickness, and was always there for him. He closed his eyes and sighed sadly at the thought of him.
"Close enough." Close enough meant not really. Though he had not shown symptoms for a quarter-moon, he was still suffering; exhausted, starved, and his insides felt scraped out and hollow, like there was barely enough cat left to keep functioning. Even the sun hurt his eyes as it glittered off the rocks, the same rocks that were rough and painful beneath his paws.
He took Stormshelter's silence as a sign he remember what Chim was referring to. His tail flicked. "I appreciate the concern, but stop it," he added stiffly.
"Now that the sickness is over, everything will go back to how it was." That included him, once his family was back. Violetstar and those that remained knew that Chim was worth more than he let on, but his family didn't, and he was going to keep it that way.
Chim was surprised by the lack of resistance - but he had forgotten Tangledfoot. This might not be as bad as he had anticipated. "Couple of rogues. We're taking it... to twolegplace, I suppose."
