Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was mid day. The morning patrols had already left WaterClan’s camp cavern. Violetstar had stayed behind to make sure that everything was running as it should. The frail feline was doing well in making sure the clan was getting back on their paws. It had not been an easy road, but the new leader was doing the best she could. Members were coming in, of course upon the approval of herself. Some cats were kittypets, and some were members whom had fled and returned. Some she still felt skeptical of, and was carefully watching.
Regardless of the members, she still stayed in check with them. Violetstar then thought about Silvermist, a cat whom she hadn’t spoken to quite yet. Now, she was setting off to find her.
Silvermist had slipped out of camp before the morning patrol had gathered. She bounced through the forest, following the ancient trails that her ancestors traveled for centuries. She hadn't been through here since she was barely an apprentice. The wide-eyed silver she-cat skidded to halt at the edge of the river and took a few laps of icy cold water.
Violetstar had asked around about her. Wondering if anyone had seen her. Upon being informed the feline had left camp, she shrugged. It would be nice to stretch her legs. So the leader set out of camp, following Silvermist’s trail.
She saw fish swimming under her nose and she swished her tail excitedly. She sat up straight, keeping her shadow out of the water and waited for the right fish to swim by. In just a blink of an eye, there was a big splash as she scooped the fish out of the water and onto the snowy shore. She jumped onto the fish and killed it instantly, proud of her catch for such a cold day. "Thank you" she sent a prayer to Starclan before covering her catch up with snow.
“That was quite a catch there.” Violetstar complemented the warrior. Prey was scare at the moment, so any catch was appreciated by all. Violetstar has seen the entire scene, finding herself proud of her clanmates. “I wanted to see how you were doing.”
The bright eyed she-cat startled when her leader approached her, "Oh! Violetstar! Hi!" She padded over to her leader, leaving her snow covered prey. She dipped her head respectfully, "I'm fine. How are you?"
“Doing quite well. Wishing this weather would grow warmer and that new-leaf would come sooner.” She admitted. WaterClan cats always struggled during the colder moons of the seasons. Even fish would prefer to stay in the deeper, warmer waters. She couldn’t blame them.
She gave a small nod to the warrior. “I try to keep a good open mind to how my warriors are feeling in daily clan life. So, it was time to check on you.” She explained softly, her purple eyes glinting in the sunlight.
"Thats nice. If only every..." She trailed off as her attention was pulled away toward a bird singing in the tree, her ADD getting her distracted once again.
she shook her head to clear it. "Oops. Sorry. I did it again, didnt I?" Before Violetstar could answer, Silvermist finished her statement. "If only the other leaders were like you!"
A half smile was placed along her lips. Violetstar was a kind leader, and it showed every day how much she cared for the clan. “Why thank you, Silvermist.” She responded, dipping her head. “Perhaps the other clans around us were just raised differently. WaterClan has always been as kind as the stream waters. I pray that StarClan will lead us back to what we once were. With time.”
