hey babes!! after childe's wonderful reign as MCA, we're in need of a new one <3 i've put a bit of info below, just about the general state of nightclan's religious environment and the world a MCA would be stepping into, so feel free to read that if you like! otherwise, these tryouts are really chill, simple, and no pressure <3 contact fox or gold with any questions, or bauble if you have any ideas for medicine cat stuff!

☆ you’re welcome to apply with any rank — kit, apprentice, or young warrior <3 they also absolutely don’t need to be villainous! they can be as good, as innocent, as gullible and manipulable, or as bad as you like <3
☆ BACKGROUND! ☆
☆ though starclan-worshipping on the surface and in theory, in practice kier — and snowblister — have steadily unpicked nightclan’s dependance on them, until they are reliant solely on kier as king, god and provider — or, in snowblister’s classes, unbeknownst to him, on her. through deliberate engineering and indoctrination, the younger generations — kits, apprentices, and young warriors — now don’t believe in starclan or even really know anything about it; so hidden away from the other clans, there’s no reason they should have much knowledge of it at all, and what little they do have they scorn and ridicule. older warriors might still worship them, but in fearful, quiet private. in all ways that matter, nightclan are atheistic — and the medicine cats are puppets for that, to further the clan’s indoctrination of kier as god by lending their virtue and the clan’s blind trust in them to give him legitimacy. this may prove traumatic and disheartening as they find themselves in a chokehold, little more than prisoners in a religious agenda, made to spew scripted rhetoric. most of this has already been achieved; the new MCA will just be stepping into this pre-existing world and working to erase the last traces of starclan so kier can fully take his place as supreme leader. with these changes, respect for the medicine cats has also dwindled; more and more, as the tyrannical new generations grow and establish themselves, they’re becoming little more than oppressed, unappreciated nurses working for scraps, made to fake the odd sign or omen but otherwise just working their paws to the bone. where previously the MCA was afforded the class superior, now they may be reduced to mere inferior.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER’S RELATIONSHIP WITH NIGHTCLAN? Blisskit is still rather young and figuring out the world. Currently she is struggling to understand the hierarchy of the clan. Her father seems oblivious to the way her and her siblings are being treated by others, her mother seems overbearing and strict, all of this is just confusing for her as she is so young and doesn't understand what she has done wrong by others.

(Side note, answer to both questions): Blisskit doesn't actually want to be in the role. She expressed some sort of interest in medicine, and her father instantly hooked on to this idea. His daughter could become the medicine cat apprentice, and would be the perfect pawn to do as he wished. Though she isn't entirely against it, she feels pushed into it and therefore is reluctant about a lot. Sablemaid seemed to get into it really heavily with Kier about this decision, but ultimately her mother had lost whatever they had been going on about. (plotsssss)
how would they get along with twilightdance and snowblister? Bliss will end up with a careful personality, slowly realizing what is truly happening with the clan. She begins to slowly bottle into herself and gets wary about everything, realizing that her life isn't really her own at all.
CAT NAME & BIO: Vulturemalice, he's on the page c:
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER’S RELATIONSHIP WITH NIGHTCLAN? NightClan ruined him to the core, made him leave SummerClan and come a rouge for seasons, made him think about who he actually was. he's hateful and hurt, but very skilled in medicine. doesn't really know who he is at this point in life, but would like to continue to use his gifts. Healing is healing, no matter the cats or Clan.
WHY WOULD KIER CHOOSE THEM? It is a known fact that as Vulturepaw he had a garden with deadly plants, and knew how to use them. It's something that NightClan and Kier would find useful when needing to take others out. Vulturemalice knows how to hide herbs or make salves that can be applied to claws that will slowly kill after being scratched. It was never something he had done in SummerClan, but was always a skill he kept in his back pocket.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FOR YOUR CHARACTER FROM THIS ROLE? just more development tbh. he's gone through a lot and just wants to be a medicine cat at this point. his heart and soul have been broken with what happened with SummerClan, and there's a darkness that has always been in him. he could go any which what depending on the influence.
WHY DOES YOUR CHARACTER WANT THIS ROLE, IF THEY DO?* I don't think he wants it, but if asked he would take it. for personal gain or other, it would be good for vulture. He has the skill set and would serve his Clan as best his could, and that's what you want from a medicine cat. They are vowed to serve they Clan they are in.

how would they get along with twilightdance and snowblister? unsure, he's a prickly ass, he doesn't get along with anyone. but he will work with whom he needs to. but with twilight being a warrior turned mc, and vulture being a mc turned rouge/now warrior, they have a lot to teach each other and could work out very well. might end up butting heads and figuring out their places with each other but it would be for the good of the clan in the long run.
