Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Despite being part of such a large family, there was something that always seemed to be missing in Harvestpaw's life. Sometimes, he worried that was all he would ever have, because he hadn't quite branched out and started to make friends with others yet. He gave a deep sigh as he sat outside of the apprentices den, brown tabby striped head resting on his paws. His golden eyes were quickly hidden behind his eyelids as he closed them, trying to enjoy the weak sunshine that blanketed the camp.

A skinny white paw stretched out to prod the other apprentice, thought better of it and skittishly pulled it back, and then finally mustered up the courage to finally reach it out again and poke him in the side. “Er Harvestpaw?” Snakepaw’s voice was hesitant. He had been working up the courage to approach another apprentice all evening. With all of them out on patrols or hunting, his only option was Harvestpaw, one he didn’t know that well.
His thoughts had kept him so preoccupied that he nearly jumped out of his pelt when the other apprentices paw came in contact with his side, his voice following only a moment later. Startled eyes snapped open and he fluffed out his pelt for a moment, his bodies natural reaction to being disturbed so suddenly. “Woah!” He meowed, quickly sitting down and trying to smooth out the fur that stuck up along his flank.
“Uh, hey, Snakepaw,” he meowed, embarrassed that he’d been caught so off guard by one of his den mates.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to wake you up so violently." Snakepaw fretted, looking at his own paws in disbelief as if he had broken every bone in Harvestpaw's body. "I just, uh. You see, you're the only other apprentice left in camp and I didn't want to go out alone. Plus, I don't think the apprentices are supposed to wander by themselves."
Harvestpaw had let silence stretch for a few moments after his den mate finished speaking. Glancing around, he realized that Snakepaw was correct- there was hardly anyone in camp, let alone any other apprentices. "What were you going out for?" He asked, his golden gaze curious as he used his tongue to smooth down the fur on his chest that was still a little ruffled.

"Well, you see..." Snakepaw's eyes flicked nervously around the camp, even though he had just mentioned that it was empty. He crouched and wiggled closer to Harvestpaw. "So, I overheard from the warriors that there was a large snake holes near the ravines and... It's a bit silly, but I don't want to hunt one or anything... I just want to see a snake, you know? I mean, I am named after one and I haven't even caught a glimpse of it!"
