Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lynxfreeze let out a sigh. Things had grown quite dull in NightClan camp, being that half of the troops were gone to serve the colony. The most interesting of cats were of those sent away first, leaving NightClan camp in a quiet state of work. Lynxfreeze didn't like that, especially not after she'd seen how absolutely fascinating destablizing a government could be. Where was the fun in the mundane after that? Still, even if day-to-day life wasn't special, with half the troops, each NightClan cat had additional responsibilities. One of those responsibilities was training, something that was typically left to the loyal guard. With half of them galavanting on the front lines, the normal NightClan members once again became good enough to train the apprentices, lest they grew lazy while their real mentors were gone. Today, she had been assigned one such training endeavor. However, since she was no loyal guard, she was left with only one, a cat separated from a training partner. Aspenstar didn't think that normal warriors could handle two, after all.
"Sailpaw, you're with me today," she meowed as she padded up to him. She gave him one quick nod, before turning, exiting camp with the expectation he was following.
"Wha--? Oh, I, uhh...yeah, sure." Sailpaw got up to follow Lynxbreeze, kicking aside the sparrow he'd just taken from the fresh-kill pile that NightClan definitely had. It went flying and hit someone in the face.
Sunsetpaw had been minding his own business when the sparrow hit him with a clunk right between his eyes. Immediately, the normally composed tom let out a hiss of anger. Apparently being hit by a sparrow was the last straw for his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. The tom immediately rose to his paws. “Hey, what the hell?” he growled, his fur sticking up in what could be the greatest over reaction in NightClan history. “Don’t walk away from me, punk!” the older apprentice continued.
Lynxfreeze immediately stopped what she was doing when she heard the tom start to throw a fit. She had spun around and adopted a crap eating grin. She had thought she was stuck with grunt work, but was she about to see some kids brawl ? If she was, her bet was on Sailpaw. Rumor had it that Sunrisepaw was suffering from a terminal illness after over exposure to the poisonous gardens. If that was true, there’d be no way he’d win. It would sure be interesting to watch though, so the she cat sat down right in the center of the entrance to camp and nodded to Sailpaw. “He looks like he’s serious,” she purred, that grin never leaving her face. “Better take care of that before we train, huh? Wouldn’t want distractions, would we?”
Sailpaw looked between Sunsetpaw and Lynxfreeze several times. "Are you giving me a pass to beat someone up, no consequences? Or am I mishearing you? Because if you are then that's messed up, and also you're my new best friend."
”What are you waiting for, coward? You gonna deal with your problems or are ya gonna run away from them,” he hissed, which led Lynxfreeze to laugh out loud.
She raised her eyebrow at the apprentice’s choice of words. “Well, I didn’t necessarily put it that way,” Lynxfreeze meowed with a shrug, “but hey, as long as you keep it entertaining, more power to ya. I won’t tell,” she purred, before pantamiming zipping her lips and throwing away the key.
Sailpaw's eyes widened at Lynxfreeze's words. "...Well, alright!" he said, and padded over to Sunsetpaw. "Hey mousebrain, I've wanted to do this for ages," he said, and then punched Sunsetpaw in the jaw.
Lynxfreeze let out a roar of laughter. It was a good thing the boss was gone - Aspenstar would certainly not appreciate this use of time.
Sunsetpaw's eyes widened : did he really just do that? He staggered back a bit, genuinely surprised that the tom had come out swinging, before shaking his head. Okay. If this tom wantedx to fight, they could fight. "Oh have you now? Cuz I've wanted to do this," he retorted, before leaping at him with a hiss.
Sunsetpaw winced slightly at the noise, mostly because he thought American cars were better. He then whipped his back leg around and gave him a swift karate kick to the side.
