Her head was held low as she made her way across the camp, headed towards the warrior’s den in search of her friend. This wasn’t going to be an easy task. Then again, saying goodbye was never easy… She could only hope that the giant tabby would understand when she told him she needed to leave… but if she did she could never come back…. No, she couldn’t tell him she was leaving but she had to say goodbye even if he didn’t know it was. Taking a deep breath Aurorasky pressed further into the den, doing her best not to let her paws tremble where she stood.
The massive tomcat lay stretched out across three separate nests, twisted with his muzzle pointing toward the sky. A great, rumbling snore echoed from his chest and resonated throughout the den, climbing into an insufferably loud crescendo. He grunted as he shifted onto his side and at last the noise subsided as he heaved a sigh and snuggled deeper into his nest.
