Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. "Mother. My mentor, Smokesignal, has gone missing."
It was strange. Smokesignal was Reapingpaw's second mentor. His first one, Talonstrike, had also disappeared under suspicious circumstances, suggesting that perhaps Reapingpaw was guilty of... something. But there was no evidence and, since the young tom was a Seraph, it was unlikely that he would ever be called out for it.
"I know my training will be completed within the next moon but I can't afford to waste a single minute. Would you assign Howlingnight as my mentor?"
Somedays she could honestly say she was proud of all of her children, and then they did something like this. Talonstrike was missing, Reapingpaw just hadn't been learning as quickly the things he needed to know to become a warrior from Talonstrike, so she'd changed his mentor. The thought had been that with a fresh start with someone else he'd catch on, clearly, that wasn't the case. Wintrystar looked down at her son, eyes narrowed and full of disappointment. Reapingpaw, what makes you think Talonstrike has disappeared?" It was true of Smokesignal, the tom had disappeared, but Talonstrike hadn't. Was her son really that blind to the world around him? If so, she'd need to fix that quickly.
