Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. While he had believed that he was safe from the darkness, he hadn’t realized until it was too late that it was a rather naive thought to have. Elvenpaw prided himself on his senses; the fact that something as significant as the shadows returning to invade his heart and his head sent him spiraling down a path he hadn’t let himself travel down since the beginning. He was upset, but he was mostly hurt. Call it innocence that allowed him to feel such a way, but he believed family, no matter what their reputation or their behavior, should care for family.
Instead, the same moment he discovered who his father was, he was also thrust into the deep, made to learn to swim or drown trying. A pretty metaphor, but it didn’t make it any less true. The apprentice was struggling. What was perhaps worse was that, because of his struggle with this life and the last, he hadn’t that many friends. No one to talk to.

"You doin' okay?" called a muffled voice, a plump white apprentice nearing the other with a hefty vole in his jaws. He set it down as he got a couple tail lengths away, continuing to talk. "You don't look so good, even from over there y'know. You need something pal?" as Fallclans honorary newest member, Promisedpaw was doing his best to make friends, especially since hanging out with anyone he could find during the day helped him get into the groove of actually being awake during the day like everyone else.
