The best way to explain the experience the tom was currently undergoing was that of absolute disorientation and the feeling of floating. Realizing he had fallen asleep once he woke up. He hadn't expected to allow himself to express this kind of vulnerability, and yet he was laying in a nest, back in his home clan, blinking bleary eyes and struggling to get back to his feet. The tom flinched once his toes made contact with the earth, forcing himself to stand and bear his weight. Judging by the tingling of his paws and lower legs, he suspected he had been out for longer than one night.
The tom padded toward the entrance of whatever den he was in, wincing at the bright light of day.
