Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
If she wasn't absolutely terrified out of her mind, there might have been a great peacefulness to the speed she was running at. With adreniline pumping through her veins, her body felt weightless, the wind against her furs only delightful. It was impossible to focus on that, though, as the situation was much worse than a quick run to burn off a little too much dinner. Instead, she was running for her life, as she had been doing for approximately the last two minutes. She didn't know what else to do ; she wasn't a fast enough climber that she'd be able to skidaddle up a tree without her hind legs being torn to shreds.
Torn to shreds by what, exactly, you may ask? Behind her was a barreling mutt, quite possibly six times the NightClan leader's size. It chased at her heels, just slightly too slow to catch up with her, just as it had been since she found it on the south side of the SunClan NightClan border. She couldn't just .... leave it there, knowing that there was a very real chance that it could attack either NightClan or SunClan without warning, so she had done what any good leader would do. Took a deep breath, then shot herself out from her perch in the trees, slashed it across the face, and took of sprinting. If she could get all the way to the loner's land, the two clans would be safe, but until then, the sound of ravoneous barking was enough to send chills down either clans' spines.

Pinesimmer was absolutely stupid. Well, actually, the healer was quite intelligent, in some regard. He knew full well which herbs were good and bad and the like, could treat injuries just fine. But when it came to self preservation and fearing things that might end up with him dead? It was like all intellect flew right out the window, and only his arrogance remained.
Today was one of the first days he trusted himself to run since having all his limbs broken, and it was quite freeing. As it so happened, he spotted Aspenstar racing away from the dog and chose to follow, his exceptionally long legs letting him catch up beside her. If he could just get rid of her... So the tom tried to trip her. Of course, he wasn't entirely coordinated at such speeds, and instead of just causing her to stumble while he kept on going, the medicine cat outright tackled her, sending them both rolling into SunClan's territory.

Littlestar hadn't been far from the border when the chilling howls, made the hair along her spine raise. It was still some distance away in NightClan's territory, but far to close to comfort. Luckily this part of their territory was still wooded, and it took here only a few moments to clumsily ascend the tree to safety. Her swollen pregnant belly and small size making it more difficult than normal, but from here she could see the scene unfolding. The dog hot on the heels of some NightClan cats that came barreling over their border... wait was that... No it couldn't be. Right? No it was no doubt Aspenstar. The white pelt drifting like a ghost over the hills. She watched closely, simply observing for the moment. They seemed to have the situation under control, and there was no need to put herself into imminent danger just yet. That was until the cat running beside the leader did the unthinkable, trying to trip the leader to seemingly allow themselves to escape. The silver queen muttered a curse under her breath, turning to the other cats whom had been on the patrol with her that she had ordered into the trees
"That is Aspenstar, we will do whatever is necessary to save her and the alliance we have been working on creating with NightClan. Chase the dog, or have it chase you out of both of our territories, and take the other cat into custody, but do not harm them yet. They just tried to kill their leader" Normally Littlestar wouldn't have interfered with other clan politic, but with this unfolding on SunClan's lands it just became their problem. With that she made her own way down the tree, racing along towards the scene unfolding ahead of them
Perfectstorm had already taken off down the decline before Littlestar gave the order to do so. Rarely did he listen to the High Priestess's command, instead valuing his own judgement over hers, which just so happened to align in this case.
"Hey, spider-legs!" He called out to Pinesimmer, his deep voice loud and booming, almost like thunder. It would be sure to startle both the running cats as well as the dog, which was of course what he hoped to achieve, "Take another swipe at Aspenstar and I'll be sure you become dog food!"
Sort of a lame threat but, again, it wasn't the content of what Perfectstorm was saying as much as it was the volume. He hoped to create just enough confusion to attack the dog. Better kill it than chase it away, after all. He kept his honey brown eyes on the canine, watching and waiting for an opening.
It happened in a flash. The time it took Pinesimmer to knock her over was just enough time for the predator to lunge in. It lunged at the cats as they rolled to the side, indiscriminantly clawing and nipping. It was unlikely that Pinesimmer would come out unscathed, but the dog seemed to have a preffered target, the one that had slashed it across its face. With a snarl, it took a swing at her, its ragged claws coming into contact with the soft flesh around her eye...
It would have done more to her, had it not been for the distraction. With another cat howling about, the dog's attention snapped away from Aspenstar just long enough for her to slide out of its grasps and regain her footing. Clumsily, it sent itself in the new tom's direction, letting out a warning growl.
The pain was blinding, both literally and physically. Blood fell down the corner of her face. The wound wasn't deep, Perfectstorm had distracted it just fast enough that its blow didn't gouge out her eye, but it had done enough damage, enough to make her dizzy, at least. She staggered back, darkness enveloping her, but only on one side. Confusion rolled through her gaze as she let out a whimper, unable to compose herself quite fast enough to attack the dog from its newly vulnerable backside.

Littlestar circled around, watching as Perfectstorm made a scene and drew attention onto himself. She would have cuffed him on the ear for the insubordination had she been close enough, but for now they had other worries. Perfectstorm was young and strong, and she had no doubt in his abilities to keep the beast occupied alongside the rest of the patrol. Her instincts screamed for her to interfere and get him out of harm's way, but logic won out. She made her way to Aspenstar's side, tail sweeping over the she-cats back to help guide her "Come with me" she whispered softly to not draw attention to the injured she-cat. The NightClan leader was in no shape to continue fighting especially now that there was back up. Littlestar nudging her to follow along
This was her chance to get Aspenstar away from the dog, so the other cats could do their job without trying to watch out for an injured cat as well. @ian
Now that the dog's attention was fully on Perfectstorm, the tom fluffed up to make himself look as large as possible. His final form was about half the size of the dog. For one, the SunClan tom was already a giant among cats and, given that his thick and long WinterClan fur was bristled to the max, he really looked like a foe that could take on a dog. His ears were pinned back; his eyes dilated, fangs bared; and a low, feral growl hummed in the background like a monster's growl.
"GET OUT OF HERE, YOU MUTT!" He hissed, lunging forward, although he didn't make any direct contact to the dog. yet. He was trying to intimidate the canine into turning tail and running away itself...

To understand Eshek, you had to understand one thing: she was a fundamentally good cat.
Sure, she’d slaughter kittens, torture innocents, and turn in the instigators of a bloody coup she’d initially backed if it would help her stay alive; sure, she’d laugh at you if you were dying, play spin-the-bottle with a vengeful god, and hold a kittypet down while her cannibal friend hacked off their leg; sure, she’d say ‘ha, cringe’ if a bunch of apprentices were butchered by a mad fox on a killing spree, bully a lovesick ghost— where was I going with this? Oh yeah — if you got past all that, then she was a truly gentle cat.
Just… not right now.
The ex-proxy and newest DayClan warrior had been wandering where she shouldn’t have been when she’d heard the barking. She’d slunk through the trees and had stood watching beside the pink trunks with a crooked smile, calmly wondering how long it would take for the dog to catch the fawn-white cat. Then the brown tom had swooped in; then, as the two cats had tumbled over and over, Esh’s claws had sunk into the pine needles and her grin had stretched impossibly wide, as wide as her eyes; then, she’d watched the ensuing commotion of screams and insults with an excited purr rumbling in her throat and her tail lashing back and forth.
Now, with the rest of the patrol distracted by the dog and the brown tom left by himself, she launched herself out of the trees and made a beeline for him, swerving around the dog carelessly. Esh leaned down and grabbed the scrawny tom’s scruff in her jaws, hauling him up roughly from where he laid strewn. She hopped from paw to paw in front of the brown tom, too adrenalised to stand still; her eyes were stretched wide and sparking with excitement, her ears bright red from the blood rush. She grinned down at him, manic and sharp. “Nice moves, Legs McGee. Tryna murder a leader in front of an entire patrol? Stupid — but kinda hot.” A few of the other cats may have recognised her as the first mate of Funk E’tan and former Foreign Affairs proxy; if not, she was simply a new semi-deranged obstacle between them and Pinesimmer. She glanced over her shoulder at the other cats, practically trembling with anticipation. Two leaders, who cared; what’s two more bodies to a grieving she-cat with no loyalty to the Clans? She was always going to side with the villain. “Need a hand getting outta here?” Honeystorm
Before Pinesimmer could answer, a dark shadow fell upon the pair of cats
“Mine!!!!”
A heavy weight bowling over Pinesimmer in the same instant sending both cats tumbling in a flurry of teeth and claws, leaving the third cat untouched.. Due to her WinterClan heritage, it was almost like trying to fight against an avalanche. You could struggle, but either way you were going to get swept away and more than likely injured. At first applecrumble hadn’t really been interested at all in helping the NightClan cats, but then came the challenging words from another member of the SunClan patrol ‘I’m going to be the first to catch him’. Over her dead body…. Nobody challenged her and won. Nobody. The tortoiseshell had taken off using her superior size and long legs to reach the intended target faster than the other cats, completely ignoring the dog that was facing off against Perfectstorm in favor of the cat they were trying to capture. Pinesimmer was just about to say 'absolutely' when he was cut off right after opening his mouth by Applecrumble. Stupid SunClan cats that didn't follow StarClan, he wished they'd just burn already. But apparently fire wasn't so good at killing those roaches. His side screamed as the she-cat bowled into him, stretching the wound from the dog further open as the medicine cat let out a string of curses. "Help would be appreciated!" He told the strange cat who'd offered him help as he twisted, trying to kick the SunClan cat from him, and failing miserably. Without the chance to run or dodge, he wasn't the best in a fight otherwise. fox
Eshek was opening her mouth to say something, eyes glittering bright, when the brown tom was suddenly tackled away from her. She let out an irritated grizzle, one that rose in pitch, volume and petulance as the two cats tumbled further away. “God dammit.”
Swooping down after them, Eshek bounded alongside the writhing bundle for a few seconds, eyes darting to and fro as she looked for an opening. Finally seeing one, she launched herself into the fray, wrapping her forepaws around Applecrumble’s neck and yanking her away. The two she-cats crashed to the ground on their backs, Esh beneath her with the huge warrior’s weight crushing down and her own claws prickling at Applecrumble’s throat. “Hey, I’m Eshek,” she murmured into her ear with a giggle, the she-cat’s ear fluff tickling her nose. She grinned. racerHoneystorm
Even if she wanted to resist, Aspenstar was in no shape to. Instead, she found herself following the lead of Littlestar, albeit slowly. In addition to the large, but mostly shallow, cut across her eye, it was quite unlikely that the she-cat didn't hit her head on the way down. Disorientation filled her gaze, or at least, what was left of it. "You... shouldn't be here," she meowed quietly. None of these cat should have been there, but the leader of SunClan was perhaps the one that was most in danger. After all, she was quite obviously pregnant, which put her at a unique risk... "I... was so close." She couldn't help but feel the anger in her voice rise; had Pinesimmer waited just a moment longer, she could have done it. She could have gotten it out... racer
The dog's attention was being pulled in so many directions. The catfight to its left, the cat who stood in front of it. It let out a low growl, a challenge to the tom, although it was clear that disorentation was slowly starting to set in. This dog, it appeared, wasn't too smart. It took a menacing step forward, its teeth bared. It was just about to lunge and clamp down on the cat when suddenly its ears pricked. In the distance, from a place outside of the territory - Aspenstar was right, she had been close - there was a sound that the cats wouldn't be able to hear: a dog whistle. Something that it couldn't ignore... It let out another growl, before knocking its paw against Perfectstorm's head and turning towards the noise. It let out a whine; it was clear that the dog wanted to make a few cats corpses, but the whistle meant it was time to go... Which left a perfect opportunity for the cats to conduct a final surprise attack as it turned towards the noise, if the cats so chose. @jadie
hahahaha not me immediately withdrawing the dog because i dont know how to do fight scenes especially when there's other fight scenes simultanoursly LOL <3
Applecrumble had been so intent on her target that she had paid no mind to the other cat whom had been hovering near by as she tussled with Pinesimmer. Even as the she-cat's paws gripped to pull her away, she wasn't about to allow herself to be pulled away from her target. If her attacker wanted to take her down, then this cat was coming with her. Instead of trying to fight off the attacker, the assault on caused her to double down on her efforts. Teeth sinking in deep to her target and wrapping her paws around tightly with claws extended, even as she was yanked away and ontop of the other cat she held fast onto Pinesimmer with a fierce determination so that now both she and Pinesimmer were ontop of Eshek. The other she-cat may have their claws at her neck, but she also had her own target exactly where she wanted them. I like this one she thought without releasing the flesh in her mouth, her only answer a smirk as her lips curled up into a smirk. She lived for these kinds of fights, and it wasn't often then another cat managed to actually make her feel in danger... it was exhilarating. foxHoneystorm
____________________________________________________________________________________ Littlestar had led the leader out of sight of the dog to crouch inside some of the dense underbrush to offer them some protection. With how disoriented the leader had become, there was no way she would be able to climb safely "Almost" she agreed, the almost wasn't enough. She had learned that the hard way. After a few moments, the dog began to take off through the woods. Probably being recalled by it's twolegs if she had to guess, as she turned her attention to the injured leader's eye "Let me take a look at that eye and give you some first aid. Your medicine cat can give you further treatment when you get back to your clan. With eye injuries its imperative that you get it treated immediately or you could loose you eyesight" without waiting for an answer, she cleared away the blood and the cut wasn't incredibly deep, the problem was the location. The eye itself had been clearly damaged, and the odds of her being able to have full vision in that eye were not looking good "You need Celadine, and quickly, but unfortunately it is not a herb that grows well here. If you have any back in NightClan I can send one of my cats to find your medicine cat" she paused, wanting to give the she-cat the truth of the situation though it probably wouldn't go over well coming from her "The truth is, I can stop the bleeding but your eye has already been damaged. You may regain some sight in that eye with proper treatment, but it is unlikely. There is a very real possibility that you will be blind in that eye" it was harsh, but the truth. One that it wasn't her place to attempt to hide or sugar coat "You may have a concussion from when you hit your head. You shouldn't sleep for the next several hours just to be on the safe side"
It was only then the fighting cats caught her attention "It seems as if my warriors have caught up to your companion"@ian
“Are we about to kiss right now?” Eshek wheezed, a laughing purr rasping out of her as the weight of the two cats crushed her; for a moment the adrenaline of the fight gave way to the pure humour of the situation and she lay there laughing. If there’d been boss music playing a second ago, it now faded to silence as she cracked up. She sheathed her claws just long enough to pat them both on the shoulders. “You guys!”
Then the beat dropped and the boss music resumed. With one powerful surge Eshek pushed up with her hind legs from where they’d been crushed against Applecrumble’s back, sending the two cats rolling off her. She immediately sprang after them, grabbing Pinesimmer by the scruff — she momentarily stood over the SunClan warrior, flashing her a smug little grin — and hauling him away from Applecrumble. Keeping him behind her, Esh faced the other she-cat, grinning around the blood dripping from the torn ear she’d gotten rescuing Pinesimmer the first time — from the medicine cat’s own flailing claws — and into her eye. She tilted her head, quirking her brows expectantly. As if she were provoking her to stop her, Esh kicked out with her back leg, ushering Pinesimmer backward toward the tree-line.
She’d completely forgotten about the dog, about Aspenstar, about Littlestar — her world narrowed down to the she-cat in front of her and the battered tom behind her. racerHoneystorm
It was the last thing the she-cat said before yanking Pinesimmer away from her. Only Applecrumble wasn't about to let go of her prize that easily. When he was pulled away part of skin and muscle was still stuck in her jaws, teeth clamped around the flesh she had been holding onto. She spit it out on the ground, one paws rising up to wipe away the blood from her lips "If you wish I'll give you a taste, for a scoundrel he didn't taste half-bad" she sauntered forward not intimated in the least by the she-cat before her. In fact she seemed absolutely enthused by the idea of fighting with her
"Darling, as much fun as I am having with you I have a mission to complete. How about you step aside, and then we can have some real fun once it's done"
"This chick's great!" Eshek exclaimed to Pinesimmer behind her, ignoring the fact he was well and truly going through it. She chortled gleefully, eyes huge and bright. "She called you a scoundrel! Who even says scoundrel nowadays? I know it's probably insensitive to you to say this but I'm kind of obsessed with her."
Esh turned back to Applecrumble, smiling at her genuinely as the other she-cat sauntered closer. She seemed totally oblivious to any danger the SunClan warrior posed; she was just happy to be here. "She's really tempting me here, legs," Esh warned over her shoulder, giving Pinesimmer another kick backwards; they were nearing the cover of the pine trees, and in there it would be easier to lose them. "Good thing I'm so honourable and heroic or I'd throw you to the wolves." She smiled back at Applecrumble, lowering her head contritely. She and Pine were nearing a ridge in the trees where the ground suddenly gave way into a slope. "I say wolves in the most flattering way possible, you bein' so big and strong and all. Hit me up some time!"
She shouted the last part, suddenly giving Pinesimmer a particularly strong shove down the slope. Eshek let out a delighted cackle of laughter, blowing Applecrumble a final kiss, and surged down the hill after him. She went flying for a few heartbeats, scrabbling for the needle-thick ground with her claws in a blur of rolling head over tail, momentary running, and falling. Near the bottom, she grabbed Pinesimmer's scruff, hauled him to his paws, and set off into the trees, leaving a deep smear in the soft, dark earth where she'd slipped down from Applecrumble behind her. Her laughter filled the pine forest long after she vanished from sight, echoing on the cold breeze.

Applecrumble had half a mind to continue the chase, but she had done what had been requested of her. "Next time then" she called after the she-cat as they disappered. She had caught Pinesimmer, they never said that she had to hold onto him. Turning around she picked up her scrap of flesh returning to Aspenstar, Littlerstar, and Perfectstorm. She spat it out it "Caught him!" she chirped cheerfully. She didn't eve know what they had been chasing him really, only that they said she couldn't get him. fox @ian Jadie
