Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Festeringfruit, it looks like we were paired up for the Frienship Festival. I'm done with my patrols for the day, so would you like to hang out with me?"
Valleyrose said, her voice sweet and bell-like. The beautiful white-and-torbie she-cat wore simple body paint as always but, instead of accessorizing with flower petals, she wore a woven bracelet with the same solitary bead as the one around Festeringfruit's wrist.
"I was thinking of visiting White Tree, actually. I know it's on DayClan's territory but the air is so crisp, the flowers so fragrant, it's really one of my very favorite places to be! But if you have other plans, I totally understand. We can always try again another day if you are too busy."
Festeringfruit lay flat on the ground, staring at her with a complete and utter lack of amusement. The bracelet around his paw was worm and fraying where he had been gnawing on it. He had come back to the clan like a loyal little soldier after Littlestar returned, but he was far from thrilled to have her back around here, and he didn't like these games much either.
"Oh... okay," Valleyrose replied, pursing her lips slightly, clearly her uncle's hostility had upset her but she sort of expected it. Festeringfruit was not known for kindness in any way, shape or form, "But before I go, at least let me fix your bracelet. It seems to have gotten really torn up somehow..."
Before Festeringfruit had a chance to pull away, Valleyrose touched her paw to his wrist and the twine that was wrapped around it came back to life. The frayed parts stayed frayed but tiny new vines weaved around it, fortifying the bracelet, and giving it a stylish, braided look that would certainly be the envy of any vain SunClan cat who saw it.
Festingfruit's words were cut off by his own ferocious snarling as his stupid little niece got too close. He surged upward, knocking her paw off of his wrist and shoving her back hard.
"Keep your filthy paws off of me," he spat, glaring at her with his back arched. The tiny tom's curled fur didn't really bristle, but the stubby furs regrowing on the center of his chest did stand on end.
"My claws aren't filthy... are they?" Valleyrose's sunstone eyes went wide as she lifted her paw up and inspected it closely. She had adorable little pink toe beans surrounded in pristine white fur. It was clear that the calliby she-cat went through great efforts to keep herself neat and clean especially since she now had a certain tom cat who she wanted to impress. Satisfied by her inspection, she put her paw back down and fluffed up her pelt, her lips pursed, "My paws aren't dirty. Why did you say that?"
SunClan cats were so thick. Festeringfruit stared at her like she had lost her mind. That was the part she cared about? How clean her paws were? How was he even supposed to respond to that?
"Whatever," he scoffed finally, balancing on his toes still but taking a step back, "just leave me alone."
"Okay, bye I guess..." Valleyrose replied, her ears and tail dropping, she didn't feel all that torn up about Festeringfruit's bad atitude but she was laying it on thick regardless, "I hope you have a great day."
